The physics of today studies previously impossible concepts by examining the natural phenomena in the microscopic world, such as single electrons and single photons, and those under extreme conditions such as temperatures approaching absolute zero. Physics is also expanding its reach by applying established physical theories to complicated social phenomena such as networks of interpersonal relatio

nships. The Department of Physics at KAIST offers lectures that harmonize the essential basics of science and the swift progress of modern physics. The curriculum for sophomores is centered on classical physics, such as mechanics and electromagnetism, with advanced physics such as quantum theory and statistical mechanics offered to juniors. Modern topics such as elementary particle physics, solid state physics, and plasma physics are offered to seniors. The Department of Physics at KAIST, through its graduate program emphasizing research, has also awarded the greatest number of doctorate degrees for physics in Korea over the past 35 years. Currently, it aims to nurture internationally competitive talent through the Brain Korea 21 (Institute of Frontier Physics Education) program.

안녕하세요. 물리학과 학생회입니다✨️

이번 학기에도 학생 여러분의 학업 활동을 지원하기 위해 더욱 발전된 스터디 사업을 준비했습니다!🥳 이번 학기에 개설되는 스터디 과목은 다음과 같습니다.

-수리물리학 1
-고전역학 2
-전자기학 2
-양자역학 2
-그 외 신청자가 3명 이상 모인 과목

이번 스터디 사업은 기존 프로그램에서 받은 피드백을 반영하여, 한층 개선된 시스템을 도입했습니다. 기존에는 조원 간 시간이 맞지 않거나, 일부 팀원들의 의지 부족으로 인해 스터디가 원활하게 진행되지 못하는 경우가 많았습니다. 이에 따라, 올해는 다른 팀의 스터디에도 자유롭게 참여할 수 있는 체계를 새롭게 신설하였습니다.

스터디가 시작되면, 모든 참가자를 대상으로 모임방이 개설됩니다. 자신의 팀이 스터디 일정을 정할 경우, 반드시 모임방에 조 이름, 과목, 약속 시간을 공지해 주셔야 합니다. (모임방 공지 없이 모일 경우, 상품 수여를 위한 집계에 반영되지 않습니다.) 그 공지를 본 후 자신이 속하지 않은 다른 조의 스터디 일정에도 참여 의사를 밝히고 함께 공부할 수 있습니다. 스터디가 끝나면 함께 찍은 사진을 모임방에 올려 인증하시면 됩니다.
더불어, 자유롭게 질문하고 다양한 의견을 나눌 수 있도록 익명 질문방도 운영할 예정입니다. 이곳에서는 누구나 부담 없이 학업 관련 질문을 할 수 있고, 여러 사람과 함께 토의하며 궁금증을 해결할 수 있습니다. 익명 질문방에는 헬프데스크 연사 분들도 참여하여 전문적인 답변을 제공할 예정입니다.

25년 가을학기 과비를 납부하신 분은 누구나 참여 가능합니다. 스터디 참여신청 후 학기 중으로 과비를 납부하셔도 됩니다. (과비 납부 계좌는 과비 개편안 게시물을 참고 바랍니다.)

가장 활발히 활동한 조에는 무려 1인 1닭의 상품도 마련되어 있으니, 많은 관심과 참여 부탁드립니다👐.

과비 3회 납부 시: 설카포 교류행사, MT, 간식 이벤트, 스터디 모임 등 다양한 프로그램 졸업까지 참여 가능!

Hello, this is the Physics Student Council! 🌟
Starting from the Spring 2025 semester, a new departmental fee system will be introduced.

By paying the fee 3 times in total, you can participate in various programs until graduation, such as the Kaselpo exchange event, MT, snack events, and study meetings!

Retroactive application:

Paid 1–2 semesters before the reform → Recognized as 1 payment

Paid 3 semesters before the reform → Recognized as 2 payments
