In Daejeon, known as Korea's Silicon Valley, Expo Park stands as the city's landmark of science and curiosity. It's where Daejeon keeps that spirit on display, and where you'll find Kkumdoli, the round little mascot who welcomes everyone to the city. Rising above it all is Hanbit Tower, best seen in the early evening when the light softens over the river.

A short walk away is Yuseong Hot Springs, where the public foot baths are open to everyone and completely free. You can sit with your feet in the warm water and watch the neighborhood go by โ€” the kind of rest that costs nothing and stays with you.

If you're exploring Daejeon, both places are worth your time. Between the science and the hot spring, they show a quieter side of the city that's easy to miss.

In this group competition, new students creatively showcased their one week at SolBridge, completing their team building challenge.

Following the example set by the previous year's incoming students, all winners' prizes will be donated to UNICEF Korea in the name of the winners.

After spending time indoors at SolBridge, students finally got the chance to step out, explore Daejeon, and experience the city with a whole new perspective! ๐ŸŒ

With fun games, an adventurous spirit, and plenty of curiosity, SolBridgers discovered some of Daejeonโ€™s must-see attractions, including the iconic Sky Road โ€” and even got to meet Kkumdoli, Daejeonโ€™s adorable city mascot! ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’›

And the adventure didnโ€™t stop there! ๐ŸŽข Students wrapped up the day with exciting rides and well-deserved relaxation at one of South Koreaโ€™s most popular amusement parks - Lotte World. ๐ŸŽก๐Ÿ”ฅ

The following days of SolBridge Orientation Week brought the energy indoors โ€” and it was just as vibrant! ๐ŸŒŸ We packed the day with information sessions and hands-on activities to help students really get to know SolBridge and get ready for the semester ahead.

Students explored the diversity that makes our community so special, got the details on academic affairs, course registration, and everything the Student Council has to offer โ€” all while keeping the fun rolling. It was a day of learning, connecting, and getting ready for the semester ahead.

The energy on campus this week says it all โ€” SolBridge Orientation Week, Fall 2026, is officially underway! ๐ŸŒ Our first day welcomed students from all corners of the world, coming together for a day packed with fun and discovery. From the SolChallenge to games and plenty of chances to bond, everyone went into getting to know each other and settling into life at SolBridge.

Beyond the fun, our staff and associates were on hand to help new students take their first steps through the legal and immigration process, guiding them as they began applying for the documents they'll need here in Korea. It was a warm, energetic start that set exactly the right tone for the days ahead.

This is only the beginning โ€” so much more is on the way. See you all soon for the next round of activities! ๐Ÿ’™
