장디자인아트의 여름 소장전 《SUMMER GETAWAY》에 소개될 다섯번째 작가는 윤정원 작가입니다. 윤정원 작가는 이화여자대학교에서 동양화를 전공한 후, 석박사 또한 이화여자대학교 대학원에서 동양화 전공으로 마쳤습니다. 윤정원 작가는 사군자 중 하나인 국화에 철학적인 무게를 담은 작품들을 선보입니다.
이번 전시에서 또한 국화를 소재로 한 “내몸은 보다시피 하나-1”라는 작품을 소개합니다. 비단 위에 강렬한 파랑색으로 그려진 꽃들은 강한 생명력을 지닌 화려한 모습이지만, 그 사이에는 불로 인해 탄 흔적이 보입니다. 불은 “생성과 소멸”이나 “파괴와 정화”와 같은 양가적인 의미를 내포하고 있는데, 작가는 이런 복합적인 요소들을 캔버스에 담아냄으로써, 고통과 치유, 갈등과 화해가 공존하는 삶과 그 가치를 녹여내고자 했습니다.

The fifth artist featured in Jean Designart’s summer exhibition 《SUMMER GETAWAY》 is Jung Won Yoon. Yoon completed her undergraduate studies in Oriental Painting (Korean Painting) at Ewha Womans University, and continued her graduate studies, including both a master’s and doctoral degree, in the same field at Ewha Womans University. In her work, Jung Won Yoon focuses on chrysanthemums, one of the four highly regarded plants in Korean culture, infusing them with philosophical depth.
For this exhibition, she presents the piece “내몸은 보다시피 하나-1,” which depicts chrysanthemums in vivid blue on silk. These flowers, striking in their vitality, also bear traces of burning. Fire embodies dualistic meanings such as “creation and destruction” or “decay and purification,” and Yoon incorporates these complex elements onto the canvas. Through this, she seeks to reflect on the coexistence of suffering and healing, conflict and reconciliation, and the inherent value of life.
