2024년 겨울 학기 6급 졸업토론회 (https://tinyurl.com/243xeced)

한국어학당 6급 졸업토론회가 2월 5일(수)에 각 반에서 열렸다. 한국어학당을 졸업하기 위해 필수적으로 참여해야 하는 졸업토론회는 하나의 주제에 대하여 찬성 팀과 반대 팀이 사회자의 진행 하에 1시간 동안 토론하는 형식으로 진행된다. 이번 학기에는 대학 교육의 필요성, 조기 연예계 진출, 동물 실험, 청소년의 SNS 사용, 사형제, 유전자 조작 식품 등 다양한 주제로 토론을 하였다. 이번 졸업토론회에서는 오전, 오후 정규과정 학생 총 7개 팀 70여명이 자신의 주장을 펼치며 열띤 토론을 벌였다.

The Level 6 Graduation Debate at the Korean Language Institute was held on Wednesday, February 5, in each class. This debate is a mandatory requirement for graduation, where students discuss a given topic for one hour in a structured format with a moderator guiding the debate between the pro and con teams.
This semester, topics included the necessity of university education, early entry into the entertainment industry, animal testing, social media use among teenagers, the death penalty, and genetically modified foods. A total of 70 students from seven teams across the morning and afternoon regular courses passionately presented and defended their arguments during the debate.

2024년 국제동계대학 종강 (https://tinyurl.com/23t6s3wn)

2024년 겨울 한국어학당에서 개설되었던 국제동계대학이 1월 17일(금)에 종강했다. 정규과정과 더불어 개설된 이번 과정에는 다양한 국적의 학생들이 참여하여 한국어학당에서 강의를 들었다. 국제동계대학은 2024년 12월 27일(금)에 개강하여 2025년 1월 17일(금)에 종강하였다. 이번 국제동계대학 프로그램은 오전 7개반 100명, 오후 8개반 103명이 개설되었으며 1급 35명 3개 반, 2급 45명, 3급 23명 2개 반으로 구성되어 다양한 숙달도를 가진 학생들이 한국어학당에서 학업을 이었다. 이처럼 연세대학교 한국어학당에서는 하계와 동계에 맞춰 국제대학 프로그램을 진행하고 있으며 이를 통해 한국어교육을 필요로 하는 많은 외국인 대학생들에게 한국어를 교육하고 있다.

The International Winter Session, offered by the Korean Language Institute during the 2024 winter semester, concluded on Friday, January 17. This special session was held alongside the regular program and attracted students from various nationalities who attended lectures at the Korean Language Institute. The program started on Friday, December 27, 2024, and ended on Friday, January 17, 2025.
This semester, the International Winter Session had a total of 100 students in seven morning classes and 103 students in eight afternoon classes. The students were divided into different proficiency levels, with Level 1 consisting of three classes with 35 students, Level 2 having 45 students, and Level 3 comprising two classes with 23 students. Through such programs, Yonsei University's Korean Language Institute continues to offer international university students opportunities to learn Korean during both summer and winter sessions.

2024년 겨울 학기 한국 요리 수업 (https://tinyurl.com/28j2evms)

한국어학당은 한국 요리에 관심이 있는 학생들을 대상으로 요리 수업을 운영하고 있다. 이 수업은 쉽고 유용한 한국 요리 방법을 가르쳐 주는 프로그램으로 학생들은 한국 요리를 배울 뿐만 아니라 한국 문화도 체험할 수 있다. 이번 학기에는 1월 23일(목)부터 24일(금)까지 이틀간 수업을 진행하였고 궁중떡볶이와 김치전을 만들었다. 학생들은 요리 실습실에서 선생님의 요리 시연을 본 후 조원들과 직접 음식을 만들어 보며 즐거운 추억을 쌓았다.

The Korean Language Institute offers cooking classes for students interested in Korean cuisine. This program teaches simple and practical Korean cooking methods, allowing students not only to learn how to cook but also to experience Korean culture. During this semester, the classes were held for two days, from Thursday, January 23, to Friday, January 24, where students made gungjung tteokbokki (royal court rice cakes) and kimchi jeon (kimchi pancakes). After watching a cooking demonstration by the instructor, students worked in groups to prepare the dishes themselves, creating enjoyable memories together.

지난 1월 22일(수), 한국어학당 중강당에서 한국어학당 학생들을 위한 한복 만들기 수업이 열렸다. 평소 한복에 관심이 있던 초 · 중 · 고급 학생들은 선생님의 설명에 따라 직접 한복을 만들어 보면서 한복의 소재, 색, 형태를 이해하고 한국의 전통문화도 체험하는 유익한 시간을 가졌다. 다 만든 후에는 한복을 입힌 곰 인형을 들고 사진을 찍으며 즐거운 추억을 쌓았다.

On Wednesday, January 22, a hanbok-making class was held in the Korean Language Institute’s auditorium for students interested in traditional Korean clothing. Students from beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels participated, following the instructor’s guidance to create their own hanbok. Through this hands-on activity, they gained an understanding of hanbok materials, colors, and designs while experiencing Korean traditional culture. After completing their hanbok, they enjoyed taking pictures with teddy bears dressed in their handmade hanbok, creating cherished memories.

2024 겨울 학기 3급 문화체험(인장 만들기) (https://tinyurl.com/2bbwqzm4)

한국어학당 3급 학생들은 1월 14일부터 17일까지 나흘간 인장 만들기 체험을 하였다. 이 체험에는 오전 정규과정 20개 반과 오후 정규과정 6개 반, 대학한국어과정 2개 반 학생들이 참여하였다. 학생들은 국립중앙박물관 선생님의 지도에 따라 먼저 인장의 정의와 동양 인장의 구조, 역사 등에 대한 설명을 듣고 인장 만들기 순서를 익혔다. 이어 인장에 이름과 여러 단어를 직접 새기면서 한국을 인장에 새겨 보는 의미 있는 시간을 보냈다.

From January 14 to 17, students in Level 3 of the Korean Language Institute participated in a seal engraving experience. This activity included students from 20 morning regular classes, 6 afternoon regular classes, and 2 university Korean language program classes. Under the guidance of an instructor from the National Museum of Korea, students first learned about the definition of seals, the structure of East Asian seals, their history, and the process of making them. They then had a meaningful time engraving their names and various words onto their seals, leaving a special mark on their experience in Korea.

2024년 겨울 학기 장학증서 수여식이 12월 24일(화), 언어연구교육원 대강당에서 열렸다. 이번 학기 재학생 중에서 지난 가을 학기 한국어 실력이 우수하고 학습 태도가 좋은 25명의 학생에게 장학증서가 수여되었다. 또한 한국어학당은 사단법인 기부&기분(Give and Given)과 이희건 한일교류재단의 지원을 받아 고려인 후손과 재일교포 및 일본인 학습자에게 장학금을 지급하고 있다. 이번 학기 고려인 자녀 장학금은 PAK LIANA와 TSKHAY ALINA 학생이, 이희건 한일교류 장학금은 LEE MYEONGDOJA와 KAGEYAMA SHIGERU 학생이 받았다.

The scholarship award ceremony for the 2024 winter semester was held on December 24 (Tuesday) at the Language Education Institute’s auditorium. Scholarships were awarded to 25 students who demonstrated excellent Korean language skills and outstanding academic attitudes during the previous fall semester.
Additionally, the Korean Language Institute, supported by the nonprofit organization Give and Given and the Lee Hee-Gun Japan-Korea Exchange Foundation, provided scholarships to descendants of ethnic Koreans and learners from Japan. This semester, the Goryeoin (ethnic Korean) scholarships were awarded to PAK LIANA and TSKHAY ALINA. The Lee Hee-Gun Japan-Korea Exchange Scholarships were awarded to LEE MYEONGDOJA and KAGEYAMA SHIGERU.

2024 겨울 학기 2급 문화 체험(요리 수업) (https://tinyurl.com/2cuubshs)

한국어학당 2급에서는 2024년 12월 19일(목)부터 12월 24일(화)까지 요리 실습을 진행하였다. 이번 요리 실습에는 오전 정규과정 23개 반과 오후 정규과정 11개 반, 대학한국어과정 2개 반 학생들 436명이 참여하였다. 학생들은 요리 강사 선생님의 설명을 듣고 시연을 본 후에 직접 잡채를 만들며 2급 교과 과정에서 배운 요리 관련 어휘와 다양한 표현들을 익혔다. 학생들은 요리가 끝난 후 준비된 포장 용기에 자신이 만든 음식을 담아 가지고 갔다. 학생들은 자신들이 요리하는 과정을 사진으로 담으며 즐거운 시간을 보냈다.

From December 19 (Thursday) to December 24 (Tuesday), 2024, the Korean Language Institute's Level 2 students participated in a cooking practice session. A total of 436 students joined, including those from 23 morning regular classes, 11 afternoon regular classes, and 2 university-level Korean classes.
During the session, students learned about making japchae (stir-fried glass noodles with vegetables) by listening to the cooking instructor's explanation, watching demonstrations, and practicing cooking themselves. This activity allowed them to reinforce vocabulary and expressions related to cooking from their Level 2 curriculum. After completing their dishes, students packed their creations in prepared containers to take home. Many captured the cooking process in photos and enjoyed the hands-on experience.

연세대학교 언어연구교육원 한국어학당이 주최하는 ‘제19회 한국어학당 영상 공모전’의 설명회가 12월 18일(수) 오후 1시 10분에 중강당에서 열렸다. 본 공모전은 한국어 학습자들이 ‘나의 한국어 공부 방법’이라는 주제로 짧은 동영상을 만들어서 참여하는 이벤트이다. 이날 설명회에서는 공모전에 대한 설명과 함께 참가 방법 및 심사 기준에 대해 자세히 안내하였다. 동영상 제출 기간은 12월 30일부터 1월 10일까지이며 시상식은 2월 18일에 진행한다.

2024년 겨울 학기 한국어 특별 보충 수업: 발음보충반

한국어학당에서는 매 학기 2급과 3급 학생들을 대상으로 발음보충반을 무료로 운영하고 있다. 발음보충반은 한국어 발음과 발음 규칙을 학습하고 자신의 발음을 교정하고자 하는 학생들을 위하여 운영된다. 이번 학기 수업은 총 9개 반이 개설되었으며 12월 17일부터 2월 6일까지, 매주 화요일과 목요일 총 14회 실시된다.

The Korean Language Institute also provides a free Pronunciation Support Class for Level 2 and Level 3 students each semester. This class is designed to help students learn Korean pronunciation and pronunciation rules and improve their pronunciation skills. This semester, a total of nine classes were opened, running from December 17 to February 6, with sessions held every Tuesday and Thursday over 14 lessons.

2024년 겨울 학기 한국어 특별 보충 수업: 한글보충반

한국어학당에서는 매 학기 초에 재학생을 대상으로 한글보충반을 무료로 운영하고 있다. 한글보충반은 한국어를 처음 배우는 1급 학생들 중 한글 자모를 익히는 데 어려움을 겪는 학생들을 대상으로 진행된다. 이번 학기 수업은 12월 12일, 13일, 16일 총 3일 동안 실시되었다.

At the beginning of every semester, the Korean Language Institute offers a free Hangul Support Class for enrolled students. This class targets Level 1 students who are struggling to master Hangul characters. This semester's class was held over three days: December 12, 13, and 16.

2024년 12월 17일 화요일 오후 1시, 한국어학당 회의실에서 급 대표 강사 위촉장 수여식이 있었다. 급 대표 강사 위촉장은 매 학기 한국어학당에서 운영되는 수업의 각 급을 관리하고 급 운영에 도움을 주는 급 대표 강사들에게 수여한다. 이번 학기에는 임미경, 장주연, 김미혜, 정인아, 조승희, 장부연, 이계윤, 이승민, 이은정, 신느티 강사가 정규과정의 급 대표 강사를 맡고 있다. 그리고 대학한국어과정은 황지선, 구인서 강사가, 단기 3주 과정과 최고급과정, 야간과정은 각각 김영희, 이지현, 김주은 강사가, 동계대학위탁과정은 김영희, 서지혜 강사가 대표를 맡아 급 운영에 도움을 주고 있다.

On Tuesday, December 17, at 1:00 PM, the Korean Language Institute held the appointment ceremony for level representative instructors in the conference room. These certificates are awarded each semester to instructors who manage and assist with the operations of specific levels within the institute.
This semester, the following instructors were appointed as level representatives for the regular courses: Im Mi-kyung, Jang Ju-yeon, Kim Mi-hye, Jeong In-ah, Jo Seung-hee, Jang Bu-yeon, Lee Gye-yoon, Lee Seung-min, Lee Eun-jeong, and Shin Neuti.
For the University Korean Course, Hwang Ji-seon and Koo In-seo were appointed. For the 3-week course, the Advanced Korean course, and the evening program, Kim Young-hee, Lee Ji-hyun, and Kim Joo-eun were respectively assigned. Lastly, Kim Young-hee and Seo Ji-hye were selected as representatives for the winter university delegation program.

2024년 겨울 학기 한국어학당 수업이 시작되었다. 정규과정은 오전 정규과정, 오후 정규과정을 포함하여 대학한국어과정이 12월 5일(목)에 개강하였다. 또한 특별과정인 야간 과정과 최고급한국어과정도 같은 날 개강하였다. 이번 학기 야간 과정은 총 4개 반이 개설되었으며 수업은 비대면 실시간 수업으로 진행된다.

The regular courses, including the morning and afternoon sessions of the University Korean Course, began on Thursday, December 5. Additionally, the special courses, such as the evening program and the Advanced Korean Course, also started on the same day.
