The University of Ulsan will become the TOPIK-Hosting Organisation from October 2023.

From the upcoming 90th TOPIK( Registration: 1 ~ 7 August / Actual test: 15 October ), you can take the test here in Ulsan.

The International Office will regularly host the TOPIK and will give accept group registration (UOU students do not need to register by themselves: just come to the Int'l Office; we will register on behalf of you ) and it will become a lot easier and more convenient for the student to take TOPIK

The University of Ulsan has been selected as a new exam hosting organisation for the TOPIK.
Students who have plan to apply for the 90th TOPIK (on Sunday 15 October 2023) do not need to go to other regions. More importantly, UOU students can get the priority in applying for the exam at UOU, so if there is anyone who's willing to take TOPIK here in the UOU, please apply through this online link and pay the cash at the international office.

* If applied during the pre-application period, applicants will be able to sit on an exam at the University of Ulsan (Exam-taking place will be guaranteed for UOU students)

Dear International Students,

Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism(MCST) announced the The Korean Culture Video Contest which will accept registration till the end of this month.

The non-Korean residents in Korea (alien regisration must be proved) can join the contest and anyone or any group (2~5 people) can join. The subject is "The Korean Culture that you want to introduce to your country" and the horizontal video format and the application should be submitted via email at: [email protected] (L-BIZ Korea)

- Short Video Clip (horizontal) competition about Korean Culture -
1. Subject: "The Korean Culture" that I want to introduce to people in my country

2. Participants: Any foreigner, or group of foreigners(up to 5 people) who live in Korea (alien registration required)

3. Deadline: Monday 31 July 2023

4. Video format: Horizontal video with 1920px * 1080px size
(within 3 to 10 minutes)

5. Awards: prize with monetary rewards
Grand prize
- Contents creators: KRW 5 million
- Non-creators: KRW 3 million
* Total 9 participating personnes/groups will get prizes with sum up to KRW 27,000,000.

Notice For Uzbekistani Community in Ulsan

For the Referendum on a new constitution that would allow President to run for a third term in the office which will be held on 30 April, the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan is planning to run a booth for Advance Polling on 26 April.

From The Advance Polling booth is expected to be ran from 09:00 to 16:00 (Vennue: Global Lounge, the building 43, University of Ulsan). Even though it is the last day of the mid-term examination, as the polling won't take a long time, so the Embassador asked each of you to participate in Advance Polling.

Anyone who has Uzbekistan Nationality can come and participate in the Advance Polling, whether he/she is UOU student or not.

Dear International Students,
외국인 학생 여러분,

This is Ahn from the International Office.
국제교류팀 안입니다.

Since December 2012, I have been working as the international coordinator and especially I was in charge of the visa and immigration affairs for a long time.
제가 2012년부터 국제교류팀에서 일해서 오랫동안 visa와 출입국 업무를 담당하였습니다.

I my not have been a perfect coordinator or I could have not been able to take care of all the international students.
제가 부족한 부분도 있었을 것이고, 모든 외국인 유학생들을 다 도와줄 수 있던 것도 아니었을 것입니다.

But still it was my great honour to help the international students with alien affairs.
그래도, 그동안 여러분의 여러 업무를 도와줄 수 있어서 영광이었습니다.

I really am also glad that I had made many friends through the international office: some already graduated and some still in the university.
또, 벌써 졸업을 했든, 아직 재학생이든 제가 많은 외국인 학생들과 친구가 될 수 있어서 행복했습니다.

But, since there is the change in the position, I will move to the different office from 2 September.
그런데, 이제 저는 9월 2일부터 다른 팀에서 근무하게 되었습니다.

I am sorry that I cannot take care of you, especially for the visa extension or the orientation for this semester.
그래서 이번 학기 비자 연장과 오리엔테이션을 끝까지 도와주지 못하게 되어서 미안하게 생각하고 있습니다.

Someone else, who is named Ahn, (yes, he is another Mr Ahn), will take my position and he will be your new coordinator.
또다른 안 선생님이 오셔서 여러분들의 비자 업무를 도와줄 것입니다.

Thank you everybody and I love you everybody.
