Samarathun ga was started the National Diploma in Accountanc y Course in English medium to correct the English in the tea estates and railway department s. The National Diploma in Accountanc y effectof 1946 up granted to the Higher National Diploma in Accountanc y course. Consequent ly 1963 evening course started in the Sinhala medium. This was continued for several years, 1992 the facilities were
arrange for the function as full time course. After this from 1997 this course was taught in Tamil medium. This course continued in the technical colleges up to 1995. After this under the act of 1995 No 29 of Ceylon Advanced Technical Institute, Vishva Warnapala committee establishe d the Advanced Technical Institutes and course started. Next to this effect of 2001 this course set according to the chamber of commerce syllabus to the above. The Higher National Diploma in Accountanc y according the near city of the future business activation on this will benefit and this understood by the finance minister DR N.M. Perera who was at that time also in 1990 October according to Gazette constituti on No 46 act of 90 in the special up granted equivalent to B.Com(Special) Degree.
