ගොඩක් අය නොදන්න කෘෂිකර්ම විද්‍යාල කියන්නෙ මොනාද?

ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ මධ්‍යම මට්ටමේ කෘෂිකාර්මික අධ්‍යාපනය විධිමත්ව ආරම්භ වූයේ 1916 දී පේරාදෙණිය රාජකීය උද්භිද උද්‍යාන පරිශ්‍රයේ පිහිටුවන ලද "School of Tropical Agriculture" (නිවර්තන කෘෂිකර්ම විද්‍යාලය) හරහාය. මෙහි ප්‍රධාන අරමුණ වූයේ කෘෂිකාර්මික උපදේශකවරුන්, ග්‍රාම මුලාදෑනීන් සහ ගුරුවරුන් සඳහා ප්‍රායෝගික කෘෂිකාර්මික පුහුණුව ලබා දීමයි.

​විකාශනය සහ ව්‍යාප්තිය (1940 - 1960)

​1941: මෙම විද්‍යාලය ගන්නේරුව පරිශ්‍රයට ගෙන යන ලදී.
​1948: කුණ්ඩසාලේ ප්‍රදේශයේ ප්‍රථම කාන්තා ගොවිපළ විද්‍යාලය (Girl's Farm School) ආරම්භ කෙරිණි.
​1958: කුණ්ඩසාලේ පරිශ්‍රයේම දෙවන කෘෂිකර්ම විද්‍යාලය ආරම්භ කළ අතර සිංහල සහ දෙමළ මාධ්‍යවලින් අධ්‍යාපන කටයුතු සිදු විය.
​1966: පේරාදෙණිය සහ කුණ්ඩසාලේ විද්‍යාල දෙක ඒකාබද්ධ කර කුණ්ඩසාලේ ප්‍රධාන කෘෂිකර්ම විද්‍යාලය ලෙස පවත්වාගෙන යන ලදී.
​පළාත් මට්ටමින් ව්‍යාප්ත වීම (1980 - 1990 දශක)
දිවයින පුරා කෘෂිකාර්මික තාක්ෂණික ශ්‍රම බලකායක අවශ්‍යතාව ඉහළ යාමත් සමඟ කෘෂිකර්ම දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් තවත් විද්‍යාල රැසක් ආරම්භ කරන ලදී:

​1981: පැල්වෙහෙර සහ අඟුණකොළපැලැස්ස
​1990: වවුනියාව
​1994: කරපින්ච (රත්නපුර), ලබුදූව (ගාල්ල), අනුරාධපුරය, වාරියපොළ සහ බිබිල,පරන්තන් සහ පාලමුණේ

​වර්තමාන තත්ත්වය

වර්තමානයේ මෙම විද්‍යාල "ශ්‍රී ලංකා කෘෂිකර්ම විද්‍යාල" (Sri Lanka School of Agriculture) ලෙස හඳුන්වන අතර, කෘෂිකර්ම දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ ව්‍යාප්ති හා පුහුණු අංශය යටතේ පාලනය වේ.
​මෙහිදී කෘෂිකාර්මික නිෂ්පාදන තාක්ෂණය පිළිබඳ ජාතික ඩිප්ලෝමා (NVQ Level 5/6) සහ කෙටිකාලීන ප්‍රායෝගික පුහුණු පාඨමාලා මගින් දිවයිනට අවශ්‍ය තාක්ෂණික කෘෂිකාර්මික නිලධාරීන් සහ ව්‍යවසායකයන් බිහිකිරීම සිදු කරයි.

Participating in the Horticultural Crop Field Day at the Horticultural Crops Research and Development Institute, Gannoruwa, was a valuable opportunity to broaden our understanding of ornamental horticulture and modern agricultural practices.

The visit provided us with valuable insights into crop management, plant varieties, innovative cultivation techniques, and current developments in the horticultural sector. It also created an excellent platform for learning directly from researchers and industry experts while strengthening the connection between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

🌱 Our first field visit as students of the Sri Lanka School of Agriculture, Bibile, was an inspiring and educational experience at the Agriculture Research Station - Maduruketiya, and the Office of the Deputy Director of Agriculture (IP) Monaragala.

We gained valuable knowledge in agrometeorology and soil testing while exploring the practical applications of agriculture. It was a memorable day filled with learning, discovery, and new experiences that strengthened our passion for the agricultural field. 🌾📚
