A morning of celebration. A legacy of giving. 💜

On 7th July 2026, the Bishop’s College Past Pupils’ Association was honoured to return to the School to celebrate the official opening of three meaningful PPA initiatives: the beautifully refurbished Home Science Room, the reopening of the Library with its newly donated storage facilities gifted by the PPA, and the unveiling of the Educational Support Unit commemorative plaque donated by the PPA in honour of Mrs. Ianthe Perera, the visionary founder of the ESU.

At the heart of these celebrations was the PPA’s Rs. 3,000,000/= donation, made possible through the proceeds of Once Upon Our Time, our 150th Anniversary Dinner Dance. It is a testament to what our community can achieve when generations of Bishopians come together in service of the School we love.

7th July 2026. A morning of pride, purpose, and partnership. 💜

The Bishop’s College Past Pupils’ Association was deeply honoured to be invited by the School for the official opening of three meaningful PPA initiatives that celebrate our shared commitment to Bishop’s College.

✨ The Refurbished Home Science Room, proudly renovated by the PPA, was officially opened by our Immediate Past President, Hasnah Mohideen, together with the Principal.

📚 The Reopening of the Library, featuring newly donated storage facilities by the PPA, marked another step towards enriching the learning environment for generations of Bishopians.

🎭 The ESU Commemorative Plaque, commissioned by the PPA in honour of Mrs. Ianthe Perera, founder of the Educational Support Unit at Bishop’s College, was unveiled in celebration of her enduring legacy.

Our heartfelt thanks to the Principal, Vice Principal, the teachers, the Home Science Society, the Library Society, the Prefects’ Guild, and everyone who welcomed us with such warmth and generosity. Together, we continue to build a legacy that serves both our school and future generations. 💜
