The Department of History in its present form is heir to one of the oldest departments in the University of Colombo created when the University of Ceylon established a second Arts Faculty in Colombo in the early 1960s.

The History Society of the University of Colombo invites all undergraduates to submit their academic articles for the UDĀNA History Journal 2026.

Please note that the deadline for submissions is 30th May, and all articles should follow the structure and guidelines provided in the flyer.
