The Media Unit of Royal College was founded in the year 2001 as the Mass Media Unit under the guidance of Mr. Beginning with the longtime staples of school media units’ such as announcing and newsreading, MURC gradually expanded its’ horizons to include new avenues such as Webcasting, Videography, Photography, Web Designing and on occasion, Event Management. Remembering the storied life and mourning the passing of Edwin Ariyadasa (03.12.1922 - 22.01.2021), who was an esteemed personality in media and publishing, and the pioneer of media studies in the country. Presence of a juggernaut of the industry and a legend who dedicated himself for the advancing of media will be missed.

May he attain the Supreme Bliss of Nirvana!
