Relaxation & Well-Being Workshop

The Department of Western Music was pleased to organize a Relaxation & Well-Being Workshop for our students, conducted by Kanchana Malshani .

As performers, musicians often experience stress, anxiety, and stage pressure. This insightful session introduced practical relaxation and mindfulness techniques to help students manage performance anxiety, improve focus, build confidence, and enhance their overall well-being before and during stage performances.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Kanchana Malshani for sharing her knowledge and guiding our students through this meaningful and empowering experience.

Supporting our students' mental well-being is just as important as developing their musical excellence. Here's to confident performances, healthy minds, and continued success on and off the stage.

Another successful series of string workshops!

We were privileged to host an inspiring Cello Masterclass conducted by Anup Anup Abraham Thomas , Teacher at the Bangalore School of Music, on the 12th.

We also had the pleasure of learning from Jasiel Peter, who shared his expertise in Contrabass, providing invaluable insights and practical guidance to our young musicians.

A heartfelt thank you to both facilitators for their dedication, knowledge, and passion for music. These enriching sessions have undoubtedly inspired and empowered our string players to continue their musical journey with greater confidence and artistry.

Special thanks to the Gustav Mahler Orchestra and Mr. Srimal Weerasinghe for their invaluable support in making these workshops possible. Your continuous commitment to nurturing young musicians and promoting classical music education is deeply appreciated.
