The Mel's Tea Academy The Mel’s Tea Academy provides a foundational education in Tea through theory and practice to people of all ages, both locally and internationally.

The Academy is pioneered by a tea taster with 47 years of experience in the industry. The Mel’s Tea Academy, an initiative of The Mel’s Ceylon (Private) Limited, was established in 2014 to provide a foundational education through theory and practice with the objective of building up a base comprising trained personnel for the different sectors of the Tea Industry in Sri Lanka. The Academy welcomes

people of all ages, both locally and internationally, interested in mastering the fine art of tea tasting, identifying the varieties of tea grades, and getting acquainted with the different cup characteristics of tea.
