🎨 Introducing the Artistic Practice Research Programme
“Creating Paths of Knowing”
The Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS) of the University of the Visual and Performing Arts (UVPA) is pleased to relaunch with a renewed vision under the theme “Creating Paths of Knowing.”

This relaunch marks a significant milestone with the introduction of the Artistic Practice Research pathway, along with four new short courses, representing a strategic expansion of UVPA’s research landscape.
The Artistic Practice Research Programme introduces a new methodological pathway for Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree programmes, recognizing creative practice as a legitimate mode of knowledge generation. This approach produces insights that are both aesthetic and intellectual, acknowledging artistic creation as a rigorous, innovative, and scholarly form of inquiry capable of advancing theory, methodology, and practice across diverse disciplines.
