Department of Accountancy Signs MoU with Sanasa Federation to Foster Research Collaboration and Sustainable Community Development

On 16th June 2025, the Department of Accountancy, Faculty of Business Studies & Finance, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, strengthened its industry ties by signing a MoU with the SANASA Federation. This collaboration aims to promote research, training, and community-focused initiatives that empower cooperative movements and advance sustainable development. The event brought together key representatives from the Sanasa Federation and distinguished academics from WUSL, including the Vice-chancellor Senior Professor Udith Jayasinghe, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies & Finance, the Head of the Department of Accountancy, and other faculty members. Department of Accountancy and ISB Forge Strategic Partnership for Innovation and Growth

On 3rd July 2024, the Department of Accountancy, Faculty of Business Studies & Finance, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, proudly entered into a landmark partnership with the Industrial Services Bureau (ISB) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding. This collaboration aims to strengthen research, consultancy, and capacity-building initiatives, opening new doors for innovation and knowledge sharing. The ceremony was graced by the ISB delegation led by Mr. I. M. I. Ilangakoon, Chief Secretary of the North Western Province, together with Mr. Anusha Bandara, Executive Director of ISB, and Mr. K. P. C. Rohan, Senior Consultant. Representing WUSL were Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. L. D. R. D. Perera, Registrar Mr. W. A. D. Chithrananda, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies & Finance Prof. S. K. Gamage, Head of the Department of Accountancy Dr. Nadeesha Priyadarshanie, along with esteemed academics including Prof. Kumara Uluwatta, Prof. W. A. D. K. J.
