Guest speaker :Dr. Luca Tonietti | PostDoctoral Research Fellow, Astrobiology and Cosmic Physics Laboratory (ACPL). Department of Science and Technology, Parthenope University of Naples, Italy.

Dr. Luca Tonietti is an astrobiologist and researcher at the University of Naples Parthenope, with affiliations to the Italian National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF-OACN), the National Research Council of Italy (CNR-IPCF), and collaborator at the Planetary Habitability Laboratory at the University of Arecibo, Puerto Rico. His research focuses on the origin of life, geobiology of extreme environments, space biomining, and cosmic dust. He is actively involved in several European Space Agency (ESA) projects, including the Comet Interceptor mission. Dr. Tonietti is author of different scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals. In 2025, he was awarded the Ernesto Capocci Award by INAF for the best scientific publication in the field of Solar System research. Alongside his academic work, he is actively engaged in science communication and public outreach, promoting astrobiology, planetary science, and space exploration to diverse audiences.

Dr. Eng. Majda Aouititen is a distinguished academic leader and researcher recognized for her significant contributions to global education, sustainability, and scientific diplomacy. Currently serving as an Academic Counselor for the Eco Astronomy International Network, she is dedicated to advancing critical thinking and innovation through sophisticated online educational frameworks. Since 2018, Dr. Aouititen has curated and hosted over 150 scientific podcast events, successfully bridging knowledge gaps and fostering international collaboration among the global scientific community.

An accomplished advocate for environmental stewardship, she holds prominent roles within three International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) commissions: (CEC) (CEM) (CCC).

Dr. Aouititen’s influence extends through her academic ambassadorships at Beijing Forestry University and Sinolingua Press, as well as her frequent engagements as a keynote speaker and moderator at high-level international forums across Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America. Her expertise is supported by a robust academic background, including a Master’s degree in Nature Conservation and Animal Behavior (2021) and advanced doctoral research in Marine Science and Conservation. With over 11 years of experience, Dr. Aouititen combines deep technical knowledge with exceptional leadership, consistently driving impactful, cross-border initiatives that promote community development and the empowerment of future global leaders.

අප ආයතනය හරහා නිර්මාණය කරන ලද කෘතීම පස් සහිත [ Mars Regolith Simulant ] නිර්මාණය කිරීම සඳහා ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ හමුවන Serpentinite පාෂාණ භාවිතා කර ඇති අතර විජයානු හා උස්බ්ම් සංකීරණය අතර තෝරාගත් ස්ථාන 4කින් ගත් සාම්පල වේ [ සියළු සාම්පල ලබාගැනීම ජාතික උද්‍යාන වලින් බැහැරව සිදුකර ඇත]. මෙම පාෂාණ ගිනිකඳු ආශ්‍රිත පූර්ව ක්‍රියාකරම්, ඛාදන ක්‍රියාවලීන් [ Ultramafic formation, weathering and erosion ] හේතුවෙන් නිර්මාණය වූවාවේ. මෙම ස්ථාන වලට උල්කාපාත වැටීම් හෝ ඒ ආශ්‍රිත කිසිදු ක්‍රියාකාරකමක විද්‍යාත්ම දත්ත දැනට හමුවී නොමැත. තවද ඒ සම්භන්ද ඛණිජ විද්‍යාත්මක තොරතුරුද අප ආයතනය සතුවේ [ via MBDB, Astromaterials Data System and UCLA Cosmochemistry Database ].
