Yellowstone National Park is a large and diverse protected area
in the United States, covering parts of Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho.
It was the first national park in the country, established in 1872 by the U.S. Congress.

It is one of the few remaining intact large ecosystems in the northern temperate zone of the earth, where rare and endangered species thrive.
