From Threads to Legacy —
“ A Journey Woven Together 🧵✨"

What began as a handloom collaborative project grew into a beautiful journey of creativity, teamwork, learning, discovery, and countless unforgettable memories
This journey would not have been possible without the guidance, encouragement, and support of so many wonderful people who stood behind us every step of the way🤍

A heartfelt THANK YOU ✨to our amazing lecturers for their continuous guidance, encouragement, and valuable insights that helped us transform our ideas into reality.

We are deeply grateful to the Export Development Board (EDB) and Ruhunu Ransalu for creating this opportunity and supporting us in exploring the beauty, heritage, craftsmanship, and contemporary potential of 🇱🇰 handloom textiles.

Our sincere appreciation also goes to the University of Moratuwa, the Department of Textile and Apparel Engineering, and our Fashion Design and Product Development degree programme for providing us with an environment where creativity could flourish, experimentation was encouraged, and our skills could come alive.

Honoring the life and legacy of Senior Lecturer Nilhan Niles. 🕊️

It was a day of heavy hearts as we paid our last respects to a visionary leader, cherished teacher, and former Head of the Department of Textile & Apparel Engineering. We will forever hold his memory and his contributions to our education close to our hearts. May he rest in peace.
