The special apprenticeship training program at the IET been designed to produce middle level industry based engineering personal. It is a more practical oriented course achieving the desired technical and management skills in the respective discipline ensuring the apprentices to gain employment after successful completion. Confirming to analysis of the industrial survey and responding to demand of

the rapidly changing technology in the engineering industry, nine specializations have been identified in three major engineering disciplines which the sandwich type industry based programs are conducted. Flexible structuring of the course towards specializations with theoretical instructions and industrial training caters for the needs and interests of the apprentice and employer. Wider visions and border horizons in the technical know- how and further skills in the applied specializations will ensure the quality and success demand by the integrated sandwich pattern of training.
