✨When challenges arise, compassion lights the way.

On 22nd December 2025, 2024 batch in Institute of Engineering Technology, Katunayake carried out a school stationery donation programme for 50 students of *M/P Tel/Bambarabedda Maha Vidyalaya,* currently residing at a temporary disaster relief camp in the Hunnasgiriya area, following island-wide adverse weather conditions.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to everyone,specially 2024 Marine Engineering Batch and who helped us Marine Seniors of IET whose generous support made this meaningful initiative possible. ❤️📚

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Eng. D. R. Saputhantiri, Director / Principal of Institute of Engineering Technology, Katunayake. His dedication and leadership will be remembered with gratitude. Our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.

ශ්‍රී ලංකාව පුරා පැතිරුණු අයහපත් කාලගුණික තත්ත්වයන් හේතුවෙන් ආපදාවට ලක්වූ, මප/තෙල්/බඹරබැද්ද මහා විද්‍යාලයේ ඉගෙනුම ලබන සිසු දරු දැරියන්ගේ අධ්‍යාපනික අවශ්‍යතා සපුරාලීමේ අරමුණින් අප විසින් පාසල් උපකරණ බෙදාදීමේ වැඩසටහනක් සැලසුම් කර ක්‍රියාත්මක කරන ලදි.

ඒ අනුව 2025.12.22 වන දින, හුන්නස්ගිරිය ප්‍රදේශයේ පිහිටි තාවකාලික ආපදා කඳවුරක නවාතැන් ගෙන සිටින එම විද්‍යාලයේ සිසු දරුවන් 50 දෙනෙකු වෙත, අප විසින් රැස් කළ පාසල් උපකරණ සාර්ථකව බෙදාදීමට අපට හැකි විය. මෙම වැඩසටහන තුලින් දුෂ්කර අවස්ථාවේදී වුවද අධ්‍යාපනයෙන් පසුබට නොවී අපට හැකි පමණින් දරුවන් හට ශක්තියක් වීමට අපේක්ෂා කෙරුණි.

මේ සඳහා නොමඳව සහය ලබා දුන්, IET නාවික ඉංජිනේරු අංශ ප්‍රධානී Marine Chief Engineer Damitha Wijethunga මහතාටත් , 22 සහ 23 සහෝදර සහෝදරියන්ට මෙන්ම නාවික ඉංජිනේරු අංශයේ ආදි ශිෂ්‍යයින් සහ 24 කණ්ඩායමේ සියලුම සහෝදර සහෝදරියන්ට මේ අවස්තාවේ අපගේ හදපිරි ප්‍රණාමය පුද කර සිටිමු.
