A New Chapter for the Sri Lanka Journal of Communication (SLJC)
We are delighted to announce that the latest issue, Volume 2, Issue 01, of the Sri Lanka Journal of Communication (SLJC) is now available online through the Department of Mass Communication, University of Kelaniya at https://ss.kln.ac.lk/depts/maco/index.php/sljc-3.
First established in 1986, SLJC has a longstanding tradition of contributing to media and communication scholarship in Sri Lanka. With its renewed publication, we are pleased to continue this journey.
This issue brings together diverse perspectives on media, communication and society, featuring research on the representation of the female body in Sri Lankan anti-war films, technology-driven media tools in disaster management, social media marketing and brand awareness, the portrayal of psychiatric illnesses in the works of Lester James Peries, and the impact of television news coverage during the COVID-19 pandemic. The issue also features a critical book review revisiting Marshall McLuhan in the digital age.
We extend our sincere appreciation to our contributors:
🔹 G.A.P.K. Ganegoda (PhD)
