For the first time in history, students of University of Vocational Technology and all six University Colleges are now entitle to a students bursary.
I am delighted to announce the launch of the '𝙉𝙞𝙥𝙪𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙖 𝙎𝙞𝙨𝙪 𝙎𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙮𝙖' Bursary Scheme for the University of Vocational Technology and all six University Colleges. This initiative is the culmination of months of dedicated effort, with invaluable support from the Ministry of Education and the Treasury. Eligible students are encouraged to apply for this scheme, ensuring they meet the criteria outlined in Ministry of Education Circular No. 01/2024.
Eligible students are encouraged to seek further details from their respective Faculty Deans or the University College Director. I anticipate that the launch of this bursary scheme will greatly assist students experiencing financial challenges in pursuing their studies, providing a supportive resource. While the government is grappling with a severe financial crisis, we have diligently worked to establish this bursary system, recognizing that improving vocational education is crucial to mitigating the country's current economic crisis. Henceforth, my hope is that students will get the maximum benefit of this scheme and, in the future, contribute to the country's sustainable economic growth.
