The 21st Convocation of IMBS Green Campus was ceremonially held on 24th March 2026 at the prestigious Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Colombo, marking another significant milestone in the institution’s journey of academic excellence and professional development.

The ceremony was graced by 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗱𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗮 𝗟𝗶𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲, 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗿𝗶 𝗝𝗮𝘆𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗮, 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁, whose distinguished presence and insightful address elevated the academic stature of the occasion.

දැයේ දරුවන්ගේ තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණ නිපුණතාව වැඩි දියුණු කිරීමේ අරමුණින් IMBS හරිත සරසවිය මගින් ක්‍රියාත්මක කරන "ශිල්ප සවිය" සමාජ සත්කාරක වැඩසටහන යටතේ කුරුණෑගල ඉබ්බාගමුව ගස්සන්දළුපොත මහා විද්‍යාලයේ ඉදිකරන ලද නව පරිගණක විද්‍යාගාරය IMBS හරිත සරසවියේ ගරු සභාපති මහාචාර්ය සරත් අමුණුගම මැතිතුමා විසින් 2026 ජනවාරි 09 වන දින සිසු අයිතියට පත් කරන ලදී.

මෙම අවස්ථාවට ,IMBS හරිත සරසවියේ අධ්‍යක්ෂ ගෝඨාභය ජයරත්න, අධ්‍යයන මණ්ඩල ප්‍රධානි ශාමිණී අත්තනායක, විදුහල්පති නිශාන්ත කුලතුංග IMBS හරිත සරසවියේ සාමාන්‍යාධිකාරී ප්‍රසන්න පෙරේරා හා අධ්‍යයන ප්‍රධානි හසිනි ජයවීර යන මහත්ම මහත්මීන් සම්බන්ධ විය.

මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතිය සදහා රු. ලක්ශ 15 ක මුදලක් වැයකෙරුණ අතර නව පරිගණක විද්‍යාගාරය තුල එකවර සිසුන් 20 දෙනෙකුට එකවර පරිගණක අධ්‍යාපනය ලැබීමේ හැකියාව පවති.

Under the Shilpa Saviya social service programme implemented by IMBS Green Campus with the objective of enhancing ICT skills among schoolchildren, the newly constructed computer laboratory at Gassandalupotha Maha Vidyalaya, Ibbagamuwa, Kurunegala was ceremonially inaugurated on 09 January 2026. The inauguration was conducted by the Hon. Chairman of IMBS Green Campus, Senior Professor Sarath Amunugama.

The event was attended by Mr. Gotabhaya Jayaratne (Director), Ms. Shamini Attanayake (Head of the Academic Board), Mr. Nishantha Kulatunga (Principal), Mr. Prasanna Perera (General Manager – IMBS Green Campus), and Ms. Hasini Jayaweera (Head of Academics).

An investment of LKR 1.5 million was made for this initiative. The newly established computer laboratory has the capacity to accommodate 20 students at a time, providing access to quality computer education and strengthening digital literacy among students.

වයඹ විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයේ හිටපු උපකුලපති මහාචාර්ය උදිත් ජයසිංහ මැතිතුමන් ප්‍රධාන ආරාධිත අමුත්තා ලෙස සහභාගී වූ අතර IMBS හරිත සරසවියේ සභාපති මහාචාර්ය සරත් අමුණුගම මැතිතුමා ඇතුළු අධ්‍යයන මණ්ඩල හා පාලක සභා සාමාජිකයින් වන මහාචාර්ය රංජිත් විජේවර්ධන, මහාචාර්ය දයා රෝහණ අතුකෝරාල, මහාචාර්ය උදය කුමාර කොස්ගොල්ල, ගෝඨාභය ජයරත්න, ශාමිණි අත්තනායක යන අය හා කොළඹ නාලන්දා විද්‍යාලයේ ගරු විදුහල්පති ඉරාන් චම්පික ද සිල්වා , දුරස්ථ ඉගෙනුම් මධ්‍යස්ථානයේ ප්‍රධාන විධායක නිලධාරී රශාඩ් අහමඩ් යන අය විශේෂ ආරාධිත අමුත්තන් ලෙස සහභාගී විය

මෙහිදී IMBS හරිත සරසවියේ පාලක සභාව හා අධ්‍යයන මණ්ඩලයේ නිර්දේශය මත හරිත සරසවිය නිර්මාණය කරන්නට දායක වුනු පුරෝගාමීන් වෙනුවෙන් ජීවිත කාලය තුල එක් වරක් පමණක් පිදෙන Green Synergy විශේෂ ගෞරව සම්මානය IMBS හරිත සරසවියේ ආරම්භක නිර්මාතෘවරිය වන මහාචාර්ය රංජනී දිසානායක මැතිනියට පිරිනැමුණු අතර එය 20 වෙනි උපාධි හා ඩිප්ලෝමා ප්‍රදානෝත්සවයේ සුවිශේෂී අවස්ථාවක් විය.

මෙම ප්‍රදානෝත්සවය පළමු සැසිය හා දෙවන සැසිය ලෙස සැසි 02කින් සමන්විත වූ අතර සිසුන් 1121 දෙනෙකු සදහා උපාධි හා ඩිප්ලෝමා ප්‍රදානය කරන ලදී.

Distinguished invitees included Senior Professor Sarath Amunugama, Chairman of IMBS Green Campus, members of the Academic Council and Governing Council, Professor Ranjith Wijewardene, Professor Daya Rohana Athukorala, Professor Udaya Kumara Kosgolla, Mr. Gotabaya Jayaratne, Ms. Shamini Attanayake, Mr. Iran Champika de Silva, Honorary Principal of Nalanda College, Colombo, and Mr. Rashad Ahmed, CEO of the Distance Learning Centre.

A defining highlight of the Convocation was the presentation of the Green Synergy Special Honor Award a lifetime recognition awarded only once to pioneers who contributed to the establishment of IMBS Green Campus. On the recommendation of the Governing Council and Academic Council, this prestigious award was conferred upon Professor Ranjani Dissanayake, Founder of IMBS Green Campus, marking a historic milestone in the institution’s journey.
