🌞🌙 Paxi’s Cosmic Art Contest: Eclipses! 🎨✨

Hey, Sun seekers! ☀️🌙 Get ready for an incredible celestial event this August!

On 12 August 2026, a rare total solar eclipse will be visible from parts of Greenland, Iceland, Spain, and a small part of Portugal. During a total solar eclipse, the Moon passes directly in front of the Sun and temporarily blocks its light—turning daytime into a few magical minutes of darkness! 🌑✨

A total solar eclipse occurs when the Sun, Moon, and Earth align perfectly. It’s an amazing cosmic coincidence that the Moon is about 400 times smaller than the Sun, yet approximately 400 times closer to Earth! 🌎🌙☀️

Even if you’re outside the path of totality, a partial solar eclipse will be visible from most of Europe, parts of northwestern Africa, and parts of North America. 🌒

Remember: Never look directly at the Sun without proper eye protection. Use certified eclipse glasses or an appropriate solar filter for cameras and telescopes. You can also safely observe the eclipse using a simple pinhole projector.
