Dr.Surantha Salgadoe/ Head and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Gardening at Faculty of Agriculture and Plantation Management (FAPM) at Wayamba University of Sri Lanka (WUSL) marked a significant milestone invited by the Faculty of Agriculture, Parul University of India to deliver the Lead Keynote speech at their “International Conference on Sustainable Agriculture and Food Safety” (ICSAFS 2026). Dr.Surantha shared his lead work from Sri Lanka and Globally towards “Reshaping Agriculture in Changing Climate” and also learned the ongoing work in the region with the delegates present. A special thanks to Prof.K.G.Patel/Dean of Faculty of Agriculture, Parul University in strengthening the mutual academic and scientific networking internationally with Faculty of Agriculture and Plantation Management, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka.

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐃𝐫.𝐖𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐰𝐚𝐣𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐊𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐫 in recognition of his outstanding contribution for strengthening bilateral (Sri Lanka - China) cooperation in Agriculture chemistry and technology innovation towards green plant protection. Dr. Wishwajith as the international secretary to Green Plant Protection Joint Laboratory, gave his extraordinary leadership and teamed up, expanding national and international scientific collaboration jointly with local institutions/universities: Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, University of Peradeniya, University of Colombo, General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, TRI, ITI, DOA, Minsitry of Science and Technology etc. with Chinese institutions/universities including Guozhu University, Central China Normal University, Nanking Agricultural University, Green Plant Protection Laboratory, China-Sri Lanka Agriculture Chemistry and Technology Cooperation, etc.

Dr.Wishwajith Kandegama is a leading academic at Department of Horticulture and Landscape Gardening, Faculty of Agriculture and Plantation Management, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka. Thank you very much Sadaharitha team and Mr.Nalin Sandaruwan for giving our students the opportunity to visit your facility.
