Horizon Campus offers world class education to students, with the launch of a next-generation multi story, multi-space university facility at the “Knowledge City Malabe’ (KCM) themed as “a new city, a new life”. One of the main objectives of the newly launched campus is to retain the country’s talent and prevent brain drain. By opening a purpose-built campus which is on par with international stan

dards, Horizon Campus wants to attract students to study and remain within the country. The new campus has added new faculties to its current portfolio– Education, IT, Management, Science, Law and Technology. They recently opened its Engineering faculty, offering three graduate degrees covering Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering and a Faculty of Health Sciences. With the new facility being on par with global standards, and their vision of being a leading educational provider in the South Asian region, Horizon Campus will focus on attracting regional students to study in Sri Lanka, including those from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, and the Maldives, and ex-pat students living around the world.

SciReS 2026 🔬🤍, the 1st Undergraduate Science Research Symposium of the Faculty of Science at Horizon Campus, featured over 160 student research projects driven by curiosity, innovation, and passion.

The symposium showcased work across Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Food Science, and Health Sciences, reflecting the depth and diversity of student research.

We were also delighted to welcome students from leading schools, who explored the presentations, engaged with our researchers, and experienced the academic environment at Horizon Campus.

More than an event, SciReS 2026 became a space for ideas, discovery, and inspiration - highlighting the journey of students stepping forward as future scientists and innovators 🫶🏻

Behind every patient fighting through pain and every difficult moment inside a hospital, there is always a nurse standing strong with compassion, patience, and care. They are the comforting voice during fear and the helping hand people remember long after they heal.

At Horizon Campus, celebrating Nurses Day is more than a tradition - it’s about standing beside the people who spend their lives standing beside others.

Rather than limiting appreciation to words on a screen, we chose to create real moments of gratitude by visiting hospitals, spending time with nurses, sharing conversations, laughter, and small gestures that carried heartfelt meaning.
