ඩෙංගු සහ අනෙකුත් වෛරස් රෝග ව්යාප්තියත් සමඟ වැල්ලමඩම පරිශ්රයේ සහෝදර සහෝදරියන් රැසක් පීඩාවට පත්ව සිටින අතර, එහි බලපෑම විද්යාපීඨයටද සැලකිය යුතු ලෙස එල්ල වී ඇත.
මෙම තත්ත්වය සැලකිල්ලට ගනිමින්, අද දින (08/07) විද්යාපීඨ ශිෂ්ය සංගමය විසින් විද්යාපීඨ පීඨාධිපතිතුමිය වෙත නිල ලිපියක් යොමු කරන ලදී. එම ලිපිය මඟින් වත්මන් තත්ත්වය පැහැදිලි කරමින්, සිසුන්ගේ සෞඛ්ය සහ ආරක්ෂාව සැලකිල්ලට ගෙන සුදුසු විවේක කාලයක් ලබාදෙන ලෙස ඉල්ලීමක් ඉදිරිපත් කර ඇත.
තවද, මෙම තත්ත්වය පාලනය කිරීම සඳහා කෙටිකාලීනව ක්රියාත්මක කළ හැකි ක්රියාමාර්ග මෙන්ම, වාර්ෂිකව ක්රියාත්මක කළ යුතු දීර්ඝකාලීන වැළැක්වීමේ වැඩපිළිවෙළ පිළිබඳ යෝජනාද එම ලිපියට ඇතුළත් කර ඇත.
විද්යාපීඨ ශිෂ්ය සංගමය ලෙස සියලුම ශිෂ්යයන්ගේ සෞඛ්ය, ආරක්ෂාව සහ සුබසාධනය වෙනුවෙන් අවශ්ය මැදිහත්වීම් අඛණ්ඩව සිදුකරනු ඇත.

With the increasing spread of dengue and other viral illnesses, a considerable number of students within the Wellamadama University premises have been affected, and the Faculty of Science has also experienced a significant impact.
In response to this situation, the Faculty of Science Students' Union submitted an official letter to the Dean of the Faculty today (08/07). The letter outlines the current situation and respectfully requests that an appropriate recovery period be granted, considering the health and well-being of the students.
The letter also includes recommendations on both short-term measures to help control the current situation and long-term preventive actions that should be implemented annually to reduce the risk of similar outbreaks in the future.
The Students' Union remains committed to taking every possible step to safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of all students.
