Sometimes, the best advice comes from someone who’s already walked the path.

Although Mr. Heminda Jayaweera pursued Electronics Engineering, his experience across the industry has shown him the incredible breadth, impact, and opportunities that Materials Science and Engineering offers. Looking back, he believes it is the path he would choose today.

A serial innovator, technology inventor, and former Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology (SLINTEC), Mr. Heminda has founded and led multiple startups, many of them centered on Materials Science and deep tech innovation.
