The Faculty of Engineering (FE) in South Eastern University of Sri Lanka (SEUSL) has five departments, those are Civil (CE), Mechanical (ME), Electrical & Telecommunication (ETE), Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and Inter Desciplinary Studies (IDS).

Department of Computer Science & Engineering has perform as a crucial role in Faculty of Engineering. Which offers six (6) Engineering degree subjects namely I.Introduction to Computing Computer Programming Computer Architecture IV. Operating System Computer Networks and VI.Data Structure & Algorithm.

Department of Computer Science Engineering has two main laboratories and one lecture hall, First one is Computer Laboratory and Second is Network Laboratory.

DCSE currently has eleven staffs altogether. the details are as follows:

Four academic staffs (Lecturers)
Three supporting staffs (Instructors)
Four non-academic staffs (technical team)

Currently Dr. W.G.C.W. Kumara is as the Head of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering.
