Workshop on India–Sri Lanka Relations in a Changing Global Order
The Assistant High Commission of India, in collaboration with the Postgraduate Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences (PGIHS) and the Department of Economics and Statistics, University of Peradeniya, is organizing a workshop titled "India–Sri Lanka Relations in a Changing Global Order."

The workshop will be held on Tuesday, 28 July 2026, from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. at the PGIHS Auditorium, University of Peradeniya.

On the 23rd of July 2026, we organised a seminar titled "A New Development Theory for the Global South" with the renowned and eloquent Dr Vijay Prashad, Director of Tricontinental: Institute for Social Research.

We are pleased to announce that it was a great success 🎉🎉🎉 Our sincere gratitude goes to Dr. Vijay Prashad for sharing his invaluable insights and inspiring perspectives. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to his team for their support and collaboration throughout the programme. A special thank you to all the participants, students, academics, and guests whose presence and active engagement made this seminar a memorable success.

We hope to organise more such events in the future to foster novel discussions on economics at the University of Peradeniya! ✨
