BINARA FULL MOON POYA DAY 🪷🌕

Binara Full Moon Poya Day holds a special place in Buddhist history as a day that commemorates the establishment of the Bhikkhuni Sasana, the order of Buddhist nuns.

According to Buddhist tradition, on a Binara Full Moon Poya Day, Queen Mahāpajāpatī, Gotamī, the Buddha’s foster mother, was granted permission to enter the Buddhist monastic order along with 500 women. This historic moment marked the beginning of the Bhikkhuni Order and opened the path of monastic life to women who sought to follow the Buddha’s teachings. 🙏🪷

✨ May this sacred day remind us of the values of equality, compassion, wisdom, mindfulness, and spiritual dedication.

May the blessings of the Dhamma bring peace to every heart and guide us towards a life of kindness and wisdom.
