One of our fellows, Princess H. Gborlue, engaged group of young people on Climate Literacy. The training promoted climate consciousness, knowledge and skills and the sharing of ideas relevant to the fight against climate change in Liberia and beyond. These young people are now Climate Ambassadors in their various communities promoting climate education.

As the negotiations unfold at , one of our fellows and Campus Directors and one of Liberia's youngest and leading climate activists, Ezekiel Nyanfor, continues to engage youths in the protection of nature in Liberia and beyond.

The 'EARTH SERIES' is a platform under his social impact project called 'ECO CLASS' at the Millennium Fellowship.

Two of our 18 fellows: Mohammed A. Koromah and Sekou B. Trawally, partnered and hosted the "Peace and Human Rights Training Program" online with over 50 participants and facilitators globally.

The training program increased participants' understanding in Peace and Human Rights and provided them the tools to serve as Peace Ambassadors and Human Rights Advocates in their communities and beyond.

On Friday, October 22, at the A.M. Kyne Collegiate Resource Center, one of our fellows, Mohammed Kerkulah, who is also the Founder & CEO of the Global Opportunities Network - GONET, hosted his first physical session of the "Global Opportunities Forum for Young Liberians", under his social impact project: "Career, Entrepreneurship and Leadership Acceleration (CELA)".

The forum brought together over 50 young Liberians and 10 young professionals and facilitated the sharing of experiences and stories to stimulate potential goal/opportunity seekers to take purposeful actions in pursuing their dreams and career goals. The forum also featured one of the two Campus Directors, Lawrence Sergbou, who enlightened attendees of the Millennium Fellowship and how they can apply for Class of 2022.

The second session which is scheduled for Friday, October 29, same venue, will bring together over 60 young Liberians and will host well-versed career coaches to talk about their career journey.

Today, September 30, Millennium Fellows - University of Liberia had a wonderful and fruitful meeting with the President of the University of Liberia - UL, Rev. Prof. Dr. Julius J. S. Nelson at the Capitol Hill Campus, Monrovia.

The President congratulated all fellows and assured them of his unwavering support to ensure a successful completion of the first-ever cohort of the Millennium Fellowship at the University of Liberia.

Thanks to the President for such a great meeting. We look forward to more engagements as fellows are working to implement their social impact projects.

Millennium Fellows - University of Liberia Meets with UL Administration

On Monday, September 6, 2021 at the Capitol Hill Campus in the President's Conference Room, Millennium Fellows had a meeting with administrators of the University of Liberia. The meeting hosted Dr. Moses Zinnah, acting President of the University of Liberia and representatives from the offices of UL Relations, Student Affairs, President's Mentorship Program, etc.

The meeting started with a brief welcome statement by the Senior Executive Assistant to the President, Mr. Blamo Nimle, followed by self-introduction of Millennium Fellows and UL Officials. The Campus Directors, Ezekiel Nyanfor and Amb. Lawrence Sergbou,
provided detailed overview of the Fellowship and how the University can support. Amongst the many things mentioned, resources such as space, financial support for fellows' projects and media coverage were exceptional highlighted.

Excitedly, the acting President of UL, Dr. Zinnah, congratulated all selected students and expressed his excitement of their passion for positive activities. He also said that the University will do all its best to support fellows inorder to actualize the SDGs.

During the meeting, fellows also talked about their individual projects and appreciated the University for accepting to work collectively. Moreover, other officials representing different departments of UL Administration, thanked fellows and reaffirmed commitment of the University to supporting the work of every fellow. Interestingly, there were lot of motivations from UL officials to stir up fellows to put in their best and achieve the desired results.
