🇱🇹 LSMU Slaugos fakultete viešėjo Kauno krašto Rotary bendruomenė.
Spalio 20 d.

On October 20, the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU) Faculty of Nursing hosted a meeting between representatives of the Rotary District 1462 Kaunas Region Rotary clubs and the Faculty 🤝. The event was organized to strengthen mutual connections, introduce the Faculty’s activities, and discuss opportunities for meaningful cooperation.
The Rotary community brings together active and socially responsible individuals around the world 🌍 who are committed to creating positive change in society, promoting volunteerism, leadership, and service above self. These values closely align with those of the LSMU Faculty of Nursing, whose mission is grounded in care for people ❤️, responsibility, science 🔬, and a commitment to contributing to public health and well-being.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Marius Latvaitis, Assistant Governor of the Kaunas Region of Rotary District 1462, and Vaida Trakimavičienė 🌷, President of the Rotary Club “Intencijos” , for their initiative in bringing together the Kaunas Region Rotary community at the Faculty of Nursing and encouraging the search for new opportunities for collaboration.

The activities, specific features, and current developments of the Department of Children’s Rehabilitation were introduced by Assoc. Prof. Indrė Bakanienė.
An important part of the meeting was dedicated to the student perspective 👩🎓. Student Kamilė Pilvinytė presented the activities of the active student community, scientific societies, student initiatives, and the challenges encountered in implementing new ideas and advancing in both professional and academic fields.
The meeting also featured an open and constructive discussion 💬 on potential joint initiatives, community-oriented activities, and areas of support. Particular attention was given to encouraging proactive, responsible, and motivated students, fostering leadership development, creating opportunities for meaningful projects, and strengthening cooperation between the academic community and socially responsible businesses.
We believe that the synergy between science, academia, and the experience and values of the Rotary organization can become the foundation for new initiatives that create long-term value not only for students and the university but also for society as a whole.
This meeting marks the first step toward a long-term, sustainable, and meaningful partnership between the Kaunas Region Rotary Community and the LSMU Faculty of Nursing 🤝.
