On March 7-8 2026 Riga Business School hosted its first-ever international IV Debate Tournament, bringing together students, adjudicators, and spectators for two days of intense discussions, learning, and community building.
What started just two years ago as an idea by two ambitious founders of the RBS Debate Club has now grown into an international event - welcoming teams and judges from across the region to debate in the British Parliamentary format.
Over the course of the tournament, participants engaged with topical and relevant motions, testing their ability to think critically, respond under pressure, and defend ideas in a structured and respectful way.
We were especially honored to welcome representatives from the Ministry of Climate and Energy, who joined us to encourage young people to engage with important policy discussions and to support initiatives that promote critical thinking and informed dialogue.
