Jomard Rustamli is a student from Azerbaijan, and he is currently pursuing a Master's degree in study programme Strategic Communication and Governance.

🔍For him, studies at ViA the best describes these three words: carrer focused education.
"ViA means a lot to me in a sense of community and networking as well as stronghold for my academic and professional development. Here, I learnt how to build networks that mutually benefit each other."

🔍Jomard shares what has surprised him during studies at ViA:
"The supportive atmosphere around the studies was the most surprising. To put it simply, my previous education involved exam sessions that felt like a battle - you had to fight to pass. But here, exams are an integral part of learning, not a way to fail you. They aim to assess your knowledge and help you grow."

June Researcher: Ph.D. Oskars Java🤝

is pleased to introduce its June Researcher – Ph.D. Oskars Java, Senior Researcher, Associate Professor, and Head of the Doctoral Study Programme.

🔍His research interests focus on simulation modelling, systems analysis, and research management. Alongside his research, he supports early-career researchers in developing their studies and coordinates international research projects. In this interview, Oskars reflects on his journey into research, his recent appointment as Associate Professor, his work with doctoral students, and why innovation can emerge just as naturally in the kitchen as it does in science.

🌍 student and ViA E³UDRES² President Līga Āboliņa is representing not only Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, but also the entire E³UDRES² Student Board at an international event in Warsaw, Poland.

As an E³UDRES² Student Board representative and Engagement Plan Leader, Līga is presenting a new initiative focused on strengthening student engagement and organising mini hackathons. During the event, she is taking part in thematic workshops, sharing the E³UDRES² Alliance's experience in student engagement, and presenting the results of a mini hackathon in the poster exhibition, showcasing the initiatives created together and their impact.

We are proud to see students actively contributing to international initiatives and using their experience to strengthen student participation across the European University Alliance! 🤝
