On February 29th, 2024, the students of the Applied Linguistics and ELT Master program at the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences, organized a workshop focused on the power of self-control and stress management. The event featured a coach named Kamal Outnarait, a personal development trainer and psychological/educational consultant. Coach Kamal discussed the causes and consequences of stress, and most importantly, how to overcome it. He shared some specific techniques for managing stress and feeling more at ease, such as relaxation techniques, time management strategies, or cognitive reframing exercises. Additionally, he offered strategies for self-control to help students perform well during exams. The workshop was not only informative but also highly interactive and practical. The students were actively engaged with the coach by asking him questions at the end of the event. This created a lively and engaging atmosphere where everyone had the opportunity to participate and benefit from Coach Kamal's expertise.
We are incredibly grateful to Karima Azizi , an MA student in AL & ELT, for her dedication to coordinating this successful workshop. Her tireless efforts in securing the venue, coordinating with the speaker, and ensuring a smooth experience for all participants were truly invaluable. Her commitment to excellence made a significant difference, and we are all thankful for her contribution to this enriching learning experience.
Last but not least, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Professor Naima Trimasse. Her invaluable guidance and support, both in the planning stages and during the event itself, were instrumental in ensuring the workshop's success. We appreciate her presence, expertise, dedication, and commitment to fostering a stimulating learning environment not only in this event but in the whole program.
