At a time when the need for human rights rooted in lived reality is more urgent than ever, the youth of Laayoune come together in the Human Rights Lab – Laayoune Edition to open a new space for dialogue, collective thinking, and responsible engagement.

In partnership with the Institution of the Mediator of the Kingdom – Laayoune–Sakia El Hamra, we brought young leaders directly into the heart of institutional dialogue to strengthen civic awareness, rebuild trust, and open spaces for honest exchange.

As the leading youth-led platform in Laayoune focused on diplomacy, governance, and institutional engagement, YOFIC empowers youth to move beyond observation toward informed participation. Through institutional visits, open dialogue, and hands-on simulations, we are shaping a new generation of engaged citizens, rooted locally, thinking nationally, and acting responsibly.

تشرفنا بالشراكة مع مندوبية مؤسسة وسيط المملكة بجهة العيون الساقية الحمراء في تنظيم هذا اللقاء التواصلي المتميز، الذي شكّل محطة نوعية في مسار تقريب الشباب من المؤسسات الدستورية وتعزيز وعيهم بأدوارها واختصاصاتها.

هذا اللقاء، كأول محطة ضمن برنامج “الشباب والمؤسسات: من المواطنة إلى الدبلوماسية”، يؤكد أن بناء الثقة بين الشباب والمؤسسات يبدأ بالحوار، المعرفة، والوساطة.

🇲🇦🏛️ حين يقود الشباب… تُعاد صياغة العلاقة مع المؤسسات.

✨ الشباب والمؤسسات: من المواطنة إلى الدبلوماسية ✨

ما حدث في العيون لم يكن نشاطًا عاديًا،
بل محطة مفصلية في طريقة تفاعل الشباب مع المؤسسات الدستورية.

في خطوة غير مسبوقة بالأقاليم الجنوبية، نظّمت منظمة الشباب للتعاون الدولي لقاءً رسميًا وخاصًا مع المندوبية الجهوية لمؤسسة وسيط المملكة بجهة العيون–الساقية الحمراء، إيذانًا بإطلاق برنامج شبابي جديد يربط بين المواطنة الواعية والممارسة الدبلوماسية المسؤولة.

لأول مرة بالجهة، يقود شبابٌ مبادرة مؤسساتية تقوم على:
-المواطنة في صلب الفعل
-الحوار بدل المسافة
-الثقة بدل التردد
-الدبلوماسية كنقطة انطلاق من الداخل

اختيار مؤسسة وسيط المملكة كمحطة أولى لم يكن صدفة،
بل رسالة واضحة مفادها أن الشباب يحتاج إلى مؤسسة دستورية محايدة، مستقلة، ومنفتحة على الحوار.

لقد شكّل هذا اللقاء لحظة استثنائية من الحوار والثقة والانفتاح، حيث أبان المشاركون عن مستوى عالٍ من الوعي، والقدرة على النقاش، وروح المسؤولية، ما جعل جميع الحاضرين، وعلى رأسهم السيد الدكتور الشريف العروصي، المندوب الجهوي لوسيط المملكة، يُعربون عن إعجابهم الكبير بنوعية الشباب المُشارك وعمق تفاعلهم.

كما أتاح اللقاء نقاشًا صريحًا ومسؤولًا حول:
▪️ الحقوق والعلاقة بين المواطن والإدارة
▪️ آليات الوساطة وتسوية النزاعات
▪️ إشراك الشباب في محاكاة مؤسساتية واقعية

‏✨ Youth & Institutions: From Citizenship to Diplomacy ✨

‏What took place in Laayoune was not a routine activity,
‏it marked a strategic shift in how youth engage with constitutional institutions.

‏In a first-of-its-kind initiative in Southern Morocco, the Youth Organization for International Cooperation (YOFIC) organized a formal and dedicated meeting with the Regional Delegation of the Mediator of the Kingdom in Laayoune–Sakia El Hamra, launching a new youth program that links informed citizenship with responsible diplomatic engagement.

‏For the first time in the region, youth led an institutional initiative built on:
‏-Citizenship at the core
‏-Dialogue over distance
‏- Trust over hesitation
‏- Diplomacy as a process that starts from within

‏Choosing the Mediator of the Kingdom as the first institutional partner was intentional,
‏a neutral, independent constitutional body committed to dialogue and fairness.

‏This meeting represented a remarkable moment of dialogue, trust, and openness. Participants demonstrated a high level of awareness, critical thinking, and responsibility, prompting all attendees, led by Dr. Cherif El Aroussi, Regional Delegate of the Mediator of the Kingdom, to express strong appreciation for the quality of the youth participants and the depth of their engagement.

‏The discussion also addressed key themes, including:
‏▪️ Citizens’ rights and the relationship between citizens and public administration
‏▪️ Mediation mechanisms and dispute resolution
‏▪️ Youth participation through practical institutional simulation
