Condolence Letter
Dear Members of the WSCF Asia Pacific Region,
It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Sa Shein Thet Nyunt, also known to us as Ko Mg Koe, who peacefully entered into eternal rest with Christ on Friday, November 29, 2024, at 12:40 PM. This loss is one that profoundly affects all who were blessed to know him, and we grieve deeply alongside his family, friends, and all who loved him.
Ko Mg Koe was more than just a member of the Pwokaren Baptist Church Maubin and Myanmar SCM; he was a pillar of strength, love, and dedication. His journey with Myanmar SCM began as an intern at the National Office from 2010 to 2011, and from there, his unwavering commitment to service saw him rise to the role of Program Secretary in 2012, and ultimately National Secretary in 2017โa position he held with steadfast devotion until 2022. His roots in Maubin UCF, one of Myanmar SCMโs most vibrant units, reflected the deep connection he had to the community that shaped him and that he, in turn, shaped with his boundless love and service.
His legacy is one of profound impact. Ko Mg Koeโs life was a testament to kindness, humility, and a passion for empowering others. He touched the lives of countless young people, mentoring and guiding them to embrace the ecumenical movement with the same fervor and heart he carried throughout his life. His gentle spirit and dedication continue to echo in the lives of his students, colleagues, and friends, and his contributions to Myanmar SCM will forever be a beacon of inspiration.
As we prepare to say our final goodbyes, we invite you to join us in honoring Ko Mg Koeโs life and legacy during the funeral service on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at Maubin Cemetery, where his body will be laid to rest.
Though Ko Mg Koe is no longer with us in the physical world, his spirit, loyalty, and the love he shared will remain with us always. We take comfort in knowing that he is at peace with Christ, and we vow to continue the mission he so dearly embraced. May his soul rest in eternal peace, until the day we meet again.
In shared grief and hope,
WSCF Asia Pacific
