13 Students Heading to Germany with a DAAD Scholarship for a University Summer Course! 🇩🇪

This year, 13 students have been given the wonderful opportunity to travel to Germany for four weeks as part of a university summer course offered by the DAAD. During their stay, they will not only improve their German language skills but also gain valuable insights into German culture, academic life, and everyday university experiences. The program offers a unique chance to broaden horizons, build international connections, and experience Germany firsthand.

On 27 May 2026, a small gathering was held in the premises of the German Embassy to celebrate this special occasion and honor all scholarship recipients. In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the students received their certificates and had the opportunity to engage in inspiring conversations and exchange ideas about their upcoming experience in Germany.

Our sincere thanks go to Hana Becker and Paul Sander for organizing this special event, for their kind words, and for the engaging conversations.

We warmly congratulate all scholarship recipients and wish them an inspiring, successful, and unforgettable stay in Germany — full of new experiences, friendships, and discoveries!

13 Studierende auf dem Weg nach Deutschland! ✨🇩🇪

In diesem Jahr haben 13 Studierende die großartige Möglichkeit erhalten, mit einem Hochschulsommerkurs des DAAD für vier Wochen nach Deutschland zu reisen. Während ihres Aufenthalts werden sie nicht nur ihre Deutschkenntnisse vertiefen und erweitern, sondern auch die deutsche Kultur, das akademische Leben und den Alltag in Deutschland aus nächster Nähe kennenlernen. Diese Erfahrung bietet ihnen die Chance, neue Perspektiven zu gewinnen, internationale Kontakte zu knüpfen und unvergessliche Eindrücke zu sammeln.

Aus diesem besonderen Anlass fand am 27.05.2026 ein Austauschtreffen für alle Stipendiatinnen und Stipendiaten in den Räumlichkeiten der deutschen Botschaft statt. In angenehmer Atmosphäre wurden die Urkunden überreicht, und es bot sich die Gelegenheit zu interessanten Gesprächen, Begegnungen und einem gemeinsamen Austausch über die bevorstehende Reise.

Ein herzlicher Dank gilt Frau Hana Becker ((Chargé d’Affaires a.i.) und Herrn Paul Sander (Kanzler der Botschaft) für die Organisation, die freundlichen Worte und die spannenden Gespräche. Solche Begegnungen machen deutlich, wie wichtig internationale Bildungs- und Kulturaustauschprogramme sind und wie sehr sie junge Menschen auf ihrem akademischen und persönlichen Weg bereichern.

🇪🇺 Europe Day 2026 in Darkhan

On May 23, 2026, we had the pleasure of participating in Europe Day in Darkhan and representing the “Study in Germany” campaign. Throughout the event, we had the opportunity to share extensive information about Germany as a study destination, student life in Germany, higher education opportunities, and scholarship programs.

We were delighted by the great interest shown by visitors and enjoyed many inspiring conversations, answering questions and discussing opportunities for studying in Germany.

A heartfelt thank you goes to the organizers, the Delegation of the European Union to Mongolia for making this wonderful event possible. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to our amazing booth helpers, whose support with translation played an essential role and whose hard work made communication with visitors so much easier.

And of course, Darkhan itself left a wonderful impression on us – calm, green, and incredibly friendly. 🌿😊 We truly enjoyed the warm atmosphere and hospitality of the city.

🇪🇺 Europatag 2026 in Darkhan – Study in Germany unterwegs!

Am 23.05.2026 hatten wir die Freude, am Europatag in Darkhan teilzunehmen und die Kampagne „Study in Germany“ zu vertreten. Gemeinsam konnten wir viele Besucherinnen und Besucher über Deutschland als Studienstandort informieren – über Studienmöglichkeiten, das Leben in Deutschland sowie zahlreiche Stipendienangebote.

Das Interesse an einem Studium in Deutschland war groß, und wir haben viele spannende Gespräche geführt, Fragen beantwortet und Informationen geteilt. Besonders schön war zu sehen, wie groß die Neugier auf internationale Bildungswege ist.

Ein herzliches Dankeschön geht an die Organisatorinnen und Organisatoren der Veranstaltung sowie an unsere großartigen Standhelferinnen und Standhelfer, die mit viel Engagement bei der Übersetzung unterstützt und eine enorme Arbeit geleistet haben. Ohne euch wäre vieles nicht möglich gewesen!

Und natürlich bleibt auch Darkhan in schöner Erinnerung: eine ruhige, grüne und sehr freundliche Stadt, in der wir uns sofort willkommen gefühlt haben. 🌿😊

German-Language Poetry Recitation Competition 2026 at NUM

On May 14, 2026, the German Poetry Recitation Competition took place at the National University of Mongolia, organized by DAAD lecturer at NUM Daniel Matysiak.

13 students presented poems by German, Austrian, and Swiss poets, as well as works by the famous Mongolian poet Daschdordschiin Natsagdordsch, with great emotion, creativity, and expressive interpretation. The audience and the jury were deeply impressed by all performances.

Am 14. Mai 2026 fand an der Nationaluniversität der Mongolei der Rezitationswettbewerb der deutschsprachigen Poesie statt, organisiert vom DAAD-Lektor an der NUM Daniel Matysiak.

13 Studierende präsentierten mit viel Emotion, Kreativität und Ausdruckskraft Gedichte deutscher, österreichischer und schweizerischer Dichter:innen sowie Werke des berühmten mongolischen Dichters Daschdordschiin Natsagdordsch. Publikum und Jury waren von allen Vorträgen begeistert.

An inspiring afternoon at the Chinggis Khaan Museum! 🇲🇳🇩🇪

Together with students from the National University of Mongolia, we visited the Chinggis Khaan Museum as part of the activities organized by DAAD lecturer Daniel Matysiak. The visit gave students the opportunity to experience Mongolian history and culture in German and to actively use the language outside the university classroom.

The tour was guided by Ms. Anujin Ganbold, a former DAAD scholarship holder and graduate of the Department of German Studies at the National University of Mongolia. With great enthusiasm, deep knowledge, and language that was both accessible and well adapted to the students’ level, she made the tour especially engaging and informative. Experiences like this provide students with new linguistic and cultural impulses and show the importance of learning beyond the classroom.

The students also had the special opportunity to visit the temporary exhibition “Khukh Tengert” by the Mongolian artist and cultural ambassador Gan-Erdene. He personally introduced his artworks to the students and had a friendly and inspiring conversation with them, making the experience even more memorable.

A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Anujin Ganbold for the excellent and informative tour and for regularly organizing such meaningful activities for our students. We are already looking forward to future visits and collaborations! 😊

Ein inspirierender Nachmittag im Chinggis-Khaan-Museum! 🇲🇳🇩🇪

Gemeinsam mit Studierenden der Nationaluniversität der Mongolei besuchten wir im Rahmen der Aktivitäten des DAAD-Lektors Daniel Matysiak das Chinggis-Khaan-Museum in Ulaanbaatar. Dabei hatten die Studierenden die Möglichkeit, mongolische Geschichte und Kultur auf Deutsch zu erleben und ihre Sprachkenntnisse außerhalb der Universität aktiv anzuwenden.

Die Führung wurde von Frau Anujin Ganbold geleitet – ehemalige DAAD-Stipendiatin und Absolventin der Deutschabteilung der Nationaluniversität der Mongolei. Mit großem Engagement, viel Wissen und einer sehr verständlichen sowie an das Sprachniveau der Studierenden angepassten Sprache gestaltete sie die Führung besonders interessant und lebendig. Solche Erfahrungen geben unseren Studierenden neue sprachliche und kulturelle Impulse und zeigen, wie wichtig Lernen außerhalb des Klassenzimmers ist.

Ein besonderes Highlight war außerdem der Besuch der Sonderausstellung „Khukh Tengert“ des mongolischen Künstlers und Kulturgesandten Gan-Erdene. Er stellte den Studierenden persönlich seine Werke vor und führte mit ihnen ein freundliches und inspirierendes Gespräch, das die Begegnung zu einer besonderen Erfahrung machte.

Ein herzliches Dankeschön an Frau Anujin Ganbold für die hervorragend organisierte und informative Führung sowie für ihr regelmäßiges Engagement für unsere Studierenden. Ebenso danken wir Gan-Erdene für die persönliche Begegnung und die spannenden Einblicke in seine Kunst. Wir freuen uns schon auf weitere gemeinsame Aktivitäten! 😊
