天然成分可改善肥胖、炎症及代謝？

澳門大學健康科學學院研究團隊發現天然產物“雷公藤紅素”通過重塑脂肪細胞源性外泌體微小核糖核酸（microRNA）表達譜，發揮對抗肥胖、炎症及改善代謝的潛在機制與重要調節因子，此研究有望為預防及治療肥胖等代謝病提供更安全的創新策略。相關研究成果已刊登於國際知名期刊《先進科學》。

Could nature hold the key to tackling obesity and metabolic disease?

A research team in the UM Faculty of Health Sciences has revealed that the natural compound Celastrol combats obesity, reduces inflammation, and improves metabolism by reshaping the microRNA expression profile of adipocyte-derived exosomes. This discovery suggests a safer strategy for preventing and treating obesity and related metabolic diseases. The research has been published in the prestigious international journal Advanced Science.

【UM scholar publishes correspondence in Nature】

📖 澳門大學社會科學學院副教授張匯泉的研究團隊於《自然》發表評論指，學生科研能力的成長需要導師的“傳、幫、帶”，並強調科學家除了肩負科研任務，也承擔著指導學生的責任，應在追求效率與教育初心之間尋求平衡。

📖 Tony Zhang Huiquan, associate professor in the Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Social Sciences at , and his collaborator have published a correspondence in Nature. They point out that students’ research capabilities rely on hands-on guidance from mentors. They also emphasise that scientists are responsible not only for advancing research, but also for mentoring students, and that they should strike a balance between research productivity and the essence of education.

【文武雙全的澳大籃球健將張俊勇】
【UM basketball player Zhang Junyong: Excellence in sport and academia】

🏀從中國大學生籃球三級聯賽總冠軍，到GPA 3.66位列班級前茅，張俊勇用行動打破「體育生不善讀書」的刻板印象。未來，他將前往深圳高級中學任教，正式踏上杏壇，培育體育新星。

💡“澳大不僅訓練設施完善，更難得的是，從大學領導、教練、隊友，到教授、同學和校友，大家很支持運動員。”他感謝澳大的栽培，讓他學會以科學訓練理念與運動精神，推動體育教育走得更遠。

🏀From helping the UM Men’s Basketball Team secure the championship at the Chinese University Basketball Association League (CUBAL) Division 3 III National Finals to achieving a GPA of 3.66 and ranking among the top students in his class, Zhang Junyong has broken the stereotype that athletes focus only on sport and underperform academically. After graduating from UM, Zhang will begin teaching at Shenzhen Senior High School, officially embarking on his journey as an educator committed to nurturing the next generation of sports talent.

💡‘UM not only has excellent training facilities; more importantly, student athletes receive wholehearted support here—from university leaders, coaches and teammates to professors, classmates and alumni,’ Zhang says. He is grateful to UM for supporting his development—not only as an athlete, but also as a future educator equipped with scientific training expertise and a deep understanding of the values of sport.

【食品級益生菌增加腫瘤免疫】
【Food grade probiotics activate anti-tumour immune response】

#澳大健康科學學院教授梁麗嫻與中國科學院深圳先進技術研究院合成生物學研究所研究員戴磊共同帶領的研究團隊發現，多種具備高效分泌能力的益生菌，能在非小細胞肺癌模型中顯著抑制腫瘤生長。相關研究成果已發表於國際知名期刊《Journal of Advanced Research》。

A research team led by Professor Elaine Leung Lai Han in the Faculty of Health Sciences and Dai Lei, a researcher at the Institute of Synthetic Biology of the CAS Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, has identified several probiotics with high cyclic di-AMP-producing capacity. These probiotics can significantly suppress tumour growth in non-small cell lung cancer models. The research has been published in the prestigious international journal Journal of Advanced Research.
