Following weeks of investigations which led the Police to make several arrests in connection with the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia, three people are going to be arraigned in Court today at 2200hrs.
The other persons, who will not be arraigned today, will be given police bail according to the provisions of the Maltese Law.
After weeks of observation in several locations, yesterday, December 4, 2017, a joint operation between the Malta Police Force and the Armed Forces of Malta was initiated at about 0400hrs.
The operation, was carried out simultaneously at various locations, particularly at Marsa, Haz-Zebbug, St Paul’s Bay, Msida and Mosta. Evidence was gathered by the Police after extensive searches were also made at different other locations. This evidence will help the Police in the investigations.
The FBI, Europol and National Investigations Bureau of Finland have provided the Malta Police Force with very important and useful assistance which led to the arrest of the persons who will be taken to Court in connection with the murder of Ms Caruana Galizia. The Malta Police would like to thank them for the important assistance they have provided.
As it has been done in the past few weeks, the Police will continue to exercise extreme caution to achieve the desired results and will be focused on its work to see that justice will be served in this case too.
