Recognizing Outstanding Service

We are proud to share that Mrs Miriam Avellino was awarded the Dean’s Award Special Mention during the Faculty of Health Sciences Dean’s Awards ceremony on 3rd July.

Having served the Department of Nursing for over 13 years within our flagship Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Nursing programme, Miriam supported well over a thousand students on their journey from admission to graduation. Working closely with academic staff, she consistently carried out her responsibilities with professionalism, reliability, and kindness.

Even in retirement, Miriam continues to generously support the Faculty whenever called upon, demonstrating her lasting loyalty and commitment to our community.

Thank you, Miriam, for your outstanding work ethic and enduring contribution to the Department of Nursing. This award is well and truly deserved!
