On behalf of the MCAST Library staff and users, we would like to express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Ġorġ Mallia—academic, cartoonist, and author—whose passing has left Malta poorer.

His memory will undoubtedly live on through his many publications, translations, and contributions to educational works, including the much-loved children’s magazine Sagħtar. His satirical cartoons, so popular with readers of local newspapers, also remain an important part of Malta’s cultural and social memory.

As a library, we are proud to hold several of his publications—a lasting legacy that will continue to live on in our national consciousness.
