PROGRAMAS CORTOS / SHORT TERM PROGRAMS

Nowadays, having an international academic experience is not just an additional value on your resume; it will play a major role in your professional and personal development. But where to go? How to choose the best university? Options are numerous and sometimes it is not easy to make the right decision. More than 3500 students choose to study in Mexico each

year! Join us at the Iberoamericana University for a summer course, a semester, a year or to participate in our short term programs especially designed for students who want to learn and discover something new, enhance their language skills and have a good time. Why Mexico? Considered as one of the major economies of Latin America, Mexico is also the Latin American country that receives the highest amount of international students each year. Due to its geographical location, Mexico was able to develop strong links with its northern neighbors, Canada and the United States. Integration into NAFTA helped Mexico to offer first world attractions and services at a lower cost. Why Mexico City? With extensive cultural and historical sites, traditional festivals and events and world class entertainment places, Mexico City is undoubtedly one of the most interesting cities of the world. Mexico City, political and economic center of the country, enjoys a mild year-round climate and is an ideal starting place for exploring other parts of Mexico. Far away from the border with the United States, Mexico City offers a safe atmosphere and very pleasant living conditions. Why Iberoamericana University? Since its foundation, Iberoamericana University has always been considered one of the most prestigious and renowned universities in the country. With 68 years of tradition within higher education, 35 undergraduate and 31 postgraduate programs, more than 250 certificates and courses, and hundreds of artistic and sporting events each year, the university offers an unequaled academic and human environment to over 11 000 students who study at our institution each year. What are the major reasons to choose our short term programs?

Today, almost 400 million people worldwide speak Spanish! As the world's third most spoken language (after Mandarin Chinese and English), Spanish can be decisive when looking for a job and provide you a gateway to engage with Latin American cultures and business.

WHY STUDY IN MEXICO?

"Mexico is well known to Americans for its diverse and delicious cuisine; palm-lined beaches; archaeological ruins and designated world heritage sites; and vibrant music, art, dance, and cultural attractions. But did you know that Mexico also has top-quality universities offering the full variety of arts and sciences curricula, in safe, attractive cities like Puebla, Querétaro, Guanajuato, Mexico City, and many others?"

IBERO and The Center of International Undestanding (The University of North Carolina), collaborate every year in a short program called "Latino Initiative" and takes part in North Carolina and Mexico.

The Latino Initiative is an opportunity for North Carolina leaders to have a deeper understanding of immigration issues and, as a result, influence local approaches to integrating Latinos into U.S. communities. Teams travel to Mexico for a short-term immersion program, visiting some of the same communities that send family members to North Carolina for work. Among the week’s activities are seeing examples of community outreach and public services; learning about Mexico’s education and health care systems; and interacting with Mexican families.
