Strengthening International Academic Collaboration
The Institute of Climate Change (IPI), is proud to share the participation of our research fellow, Dr. Siti Norliyana Harun as a Visiting Lecturer at Universitas Lampung, Indonesia.
As part of this engagement, Dr. Siti Norliyana Harun delivered an International Guest Lecture at the Faculty of Agriculture titled: βFeeding the Future: Climate Change and the Fight for Sustainable Agricultureβ.
The session highlighted the growing challenges of climate change on the agricultural sector β including rising temperatures π‘οΈ, water variability π§, and increasing threats to food security πΎ β particularly in tropical regions.
π¬ A key message emphasized during the lecture:
Addressing climate change requires strong interdisciplinary collaboration, integrating environmental, social, and economic perspectives to develop effective and sustainable solutions.
The lecture was attended by faculty members and students from the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, with active and engaging discussions on climate mitigation and adaptation strategies in agriculture.
