MARA College Banting's history began as early as 1985 with the ride at MRSM Seremban MRSM for the purpose of preparing students for GCE A-Level program. The program is a preparatory program to gain admission into universities abroad. To diversify the number of universities that can be joined by students, in 1991 the college had introduced a program of the new pre-university International Baccalaur
eate Programme (IB) after receiving recognition from the International Baccalaureate Organisation to carry out the program. To accommodate the growing programs and students, the college has been changed to a new location area of 84 acres of the site that is currently in use. So starting from the date of July 1, 1992, the college operates using the name MRSM Banting with a total student: 71 students from MRSM Cheras International Baccalaureate and 310 people GCE A-Level students from MRSM MRSM Cheras and Seremban. In 1994, Banting MRSM name was changed to the new name of MARA College Banting, until now. MARA College Banting has 41 support staff in Administration and 94 qualified lecturer in the Academic Division. The total staff at the college was over 135 people. Starting from the month May 2003 MARA College Banting had become 'IB World School' in full. Before this MARA College Banting operates two programs the IB program and matriculation. MARA College Banting now devote his full attention to the IB program only.
