POSTGRADUATE BEST THESIS AWARD IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE UNIVERSITI TUN HUSSEIN ONN MALAYSIA 24TH CONVOCATION CEREMONY

We are pleased to announce that the application process for the Postgraduate Best Thesis Award, for both Doctor of Philosophy and Master’s Degree (Research Mode), in conjunction with the UTHM 24th Convocation Ceremony, is now open. Applications will be accepted for TWO (2) weeks, starting from September 3rd, 2024.

The criteria for evaluation, to be adhered to by the reviewing committee, shall include but not be limited to the following:

(i) The thesis shall be of superior quality, as evidenced by the results of the oral examination, with a requirement that corrections, if any, shall be minor in nature.
(ii) The applicant must have produced publications of high impact, duly indexed in ISI Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, or Scopus/ISI Indexed Journals.
(iii) The applicant shall have graduated within the prescribed timeframe (Graduate on Time - GOT).
(iv) Consideration shall also be given to innovative products derived from the thesis.

The Postgraduate Best Thesis Award is open to all postgraduate students of UTHM who have completed their studies and satisfied all requirements for graduation.

All applications, inclusive of supporting documents, must be duly COMPLETED and SUBMITTED to the Centre for Graduate Studies (CGS), UTHM, by September 17th, 2024 (Tuesday).

THE OPENING OF POSTGRADUATE RESEARCH GRANT APPLICATION (GPPS) PHASE 2 YEAR 2024

Research Management Centre (RMC) is pleased to inform you of The Opening of Postgraduate Research Grant Application (GPPS) Phase 2 Year 2024. All of the academic staff who fulfill the requirements are eligible to apply. The application can be made through the ORKED System.

Opening Date : 15th August 2024 (Thursday)
Deadline : 5th September 2024 (Thursday)

Criteria for applying this grant are shown as follows :

1) Eligible to Malaysian UTHM students in Semester 1- 2 (Master) & Semester 1-3 (PhD) only by October 2024.

2) Applications for Postgraduate students in Semester 2 & 3 will be considered if the evidence of publication in Scopus-Indexed writing is attached & email to Madam Noraidah [email protected]

3) Mode of study is open for full time research for Master & Phd programme & not tied with any working status.

4) A softcopy of the conditional offer letter (at least) must be attached.

5) The KPI publication grant for Phd student : At least 1 (one) Impact Factor (I.F) journal OR 2 (two) Scopus- indexed journal. Meanwhile, the kpi for Master student : At least 1 (One) Scopus - indexed journal.

6) The students are OBLIGATED to meet the kpi of the 1st year grant by publishing ONE INDEXED- JOURNAL to ensure the continuation of the allowance distribution. However, the failure to do so will result the allowance to be DISCONTINUED.

All applications must fulfil all of the criteria stated above and be in accordance with the official guidelines (Garis Panduan Permohonan Geran Penyelidikan Pascasiswazah (GPPS)).

All claims of allowance are subject to University's allocation.
