On 9 April 2026, the International Education Faculty of Chengdu University of Technology paid a distinguished visit to National Higher Education Research Institute (IPPTN) to explore strategic avenues for international collaboration.

The delegation was led by Ms Chen Qian, Office Manager of the International Education Faculty, who will serve as the key liaison connecting IPPTN with the university’s newly established institute, with Dr Teh Peng Hong and Mr Teh Zhi Ming present as the Malaysian representatives for the institute.

The visit featured forward-looking discussions centred on advancing academic collaboration in higher education policy, staff exchange initiatives, and student mobility programmes. This meaningful engagement reflects a shared commitment to fostering impactful global partnerships and driving excellence in the international higher education landscape.

Strengthening Global Academic Excellence: IMS Ghaziabad Welcomes Ts. Dr. Teoh Kok Ban

We are honored to formally announce the appointment of Ts. Dr. Teoh Kok Ban as an International Adjunct Faculty (Honorary) at the Institute of Management Studies (IMS), Ghaziabad.

Dr. Teoh is a distinguished Senior Lecturer at the National Higher Education Research Institute (IPPTN), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). With over 15 years of experience in higher education leadership, he brings a unique, interdisciplinary approach to our institution.

Expertise Highlights:
• Academic Credentials: Holds a PhD in Organizational Behavior & Development, complemented by Master’s degrees in both Statistics and Counseling.
• Professional Standing: A registered Professional Technologist (Ts.) with the Malaysian Board of Technologists and a Licensed Counselor register with the Malaysian Board of Counselor.
• Research Impact: Extensive publications in Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals focusing on Organizational Wellbeing, Burnout, and Academic Resilience.
• Industry Leadership: An HRD Corp Accredited Trainer and Consultant for major educational groups like Shen Jai and ViTrox College.
Through this collaboration, our PGDM students and faculty will benefit from international masterclasses, research mentorship, and global thought-leadership initiatives.

Strengthening Academic–Industry Collaboration for Higher Education and Talent Development

On 3 April 2026, Institut Penyelidikan Pendidikan Tinggi Negara (IPPTN), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) held a productive discussion session with ViTrox Academy Sdn. Bhd. in relation to the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between both parties.

The engagement focused on advancing collaborative initiatives in STEM education, including joint research on effective pedagogy, co-publication of research outputs, industry-relevant training programmes, and the establishment of an Industry on Campus (IOC) platform to support academic–industry integration.

This strategic collaboration reflects a shared commitment to enhancing student engagement, strengthening talent development, and bridging the gap between higher education and industry practice.

The session concluded with a group photo to commemorate this meaningful partnership and its forward-looking initiatives.
