The University is also ranked Competitive (Berdaya Saing) by the Ministry of Higher Education’s SETARA ratings. Established in 2005 and with an investment of almost RM200 million, the university is located in Cyberjaya, Malaysia’s first smart city, on a 5-acre, modern, fully equipped, green-friendly campus. The campus is surrounded by lush greeneries and provides a serene backdrop for a conducive
environment for student living and learning. In addition to an overall rating of 5 stars by QS, the University also received 5 stars for specific categories. These are all for 5-stars for Teaching, Employability, Academic Development, Internationalisation, Facilities, Social Responsibility, Inclusiveness, and Specialist Criteria (MBBS). Known for its rigorous and independent data collection and analysis, this recognition by the QS Stars programme has been even more significant. The University is also currently ranked in the top 401+ under the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2023. UoC now offers more than 50 programmes, including undergraduate, postgraduate-taught and postgraduate-research programmes across a wide set of disciplines. These include medicine, health sciences, nursing, pharmaceutical sciences, education, psychology, mass communications physiotherapy, homoeopathic medical sciences, business and IT and biomedical technology engineering among others. The University, together with its affiliated institutions currently have a student population of over 7,000 and has produced more than 12,000 successful graduates.
