Ciearran Yong Zheng from Kwang Hua Private High School, Klang, has arrived at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) with his parents to complete his enrolment.

He has enrolled in HIT’s Energy and Power Engineering programme. According to the latest 2026 subject rankings, HIT’s Energy and Power Engineering programme is ranked among the top 10% in China, receiving an A rating and ranking No. 6 nationwide, making it one of the leading programmes in this field in China.

The 1+4 Pathway is Now Available at SMJK Heng Ee Cawangan Bayan Baru!

Starting next year, SPM students can complete an intensive Foundation Programme in Malaysia before progressing to their undergraduate studies at Harbin Institute of Tecnology (HIT), making the transition more streamlined and avoiding a long waiting period after graduation.

Recently, HIT participated in the SMJK Heng Ee Cawangan Bayan Baru Education Fair, where students were introduced to this pathway and given another option for continuing their undergraduate studies at HIT in China.

For students interested in studying at HIT, this is also a good time to start preparing for their SPM and aim for strong results, with the opportunity to apply for a special scholarship offered by HIT specifically for Malaysian students.

1+4升学直通车，已经开到槟城恒毅华中峇央峇鲁分校！

SPM学生明年起，可以先在马来西亚完成密集式预科课程，随后衔接哈工大本科课程，让升学安排更加紧凑，也无需在毕业后空等大半年。

日前，哈尔滨工业大学参与恒毅分校教育展，与学生分享这一升学方案，让同学们了解从马来西亚衔接哈工大本科的另一种选择。

Recently, Harbin Institute of Technology has been presenting “Student Recruitment Base” plaques to several partner schools, further strengthening collaboration in student development and higher education opportunities.

The school representatives who received the plaques included Mr. Lai Chung Kong, Principal of Yuk Choy High School; Ms. Low Woan Bing, Principal of Pei Yuan High School; Ms. Kang Ruey Chyi, Admin Head of Career Counseling at Kuen Cheng High School; Mr. Ng Jooi Seah, Principal of Chung Ling Independent High School; Mr. Tang Eng Hoe, Principal of Jit Sin Independent High School; Ms. Chin Lee Pin, Principal of Nan Hwa High School; and Ms. Lim Peck Poh, Principal of SMJK Katholik, Petaling Jaya.

A plaque represents not only trust, but also the continued development of the partnership between the schools and HIT. As the collaboration continues to grow, it is hoped that more outstanding students from Malaysia will embark on their journey toHIT for further studies.

近期，哈尔滨工业大学陆续向多所合作中学移交“生源基地”牌匾，进一步推动双方在人才培养与升学交流方面的合作。

Today, Harbin Institute of Technology held an admissions talk at Tsung Wah Private Secondary School, where the school’s Principal, Mr. Cheng Chee Wah, was also present.

The session provided students with an opportunity to gain a better understanding of different pathways for further studies and to explore more possibilities for their future.

Hopefully, by this time next year, students from Tsung Wah will be starting their university journey at HIT.

今天，哈尔滨工业大学在江沙崇华独中举办升学宣讲会，与师生分享赴华升学及未来发展的更多可能。庄织华校长和辅导主任陈亚萍老师也参与了此次活动。

Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) Returns to Shen Jai High School in Ipoh for the Third Time!

Today, HIT took part in the education fair at Shen Jai High School in Ipoh.

It was encouraging to see that, in addition to senior students actively exploring their study options, junior students also took part in the event, showing an early interest in planning for their future education.

During the event, HIT officially presented the “Student Recruitment Base” plaque to Mr Patrick Ewe, Chairman of the Board of Governors of Shen Jai High School in Ipoh, further strengthening the connection between the two institutions in student development and educational exchange.

We would also like to congratulate the four Shen Jai graduates who will soon begin their studies at HIT! All four students were successfully admitted to their first-choice programmes and were awarded HIT scholarships in recognition of their excellent academic performance.

Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) continues its journey across Malaysia!

Today, HIT took part in the education fair at SMJK Shing Chung in Sungai Siput, Perak, meeting students face-to-face and sharing more about the opportunities and pathways available for those considering further studies in China.

For SPM graduates, students can take the “1+4” pathway by completing a one-year Foundation Programme in Malaysia before continuing their undergraduate studies at HIT in China. Form 6 graduates, on the other hand, can apply directly for undergraduate programmes and start from Year 1.

HIT also offers various scholarship opportunities to help ease the financial burden of further studies, making studying in China another option worth considering for Malaysian students.

今天，哈尔滨工业大学走进和丰兴中华中学教育展，与同学们分享赴华留学的选择与机会。

Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) International Education Centre Malaysia visited Yong Peng High School and Chong Hwa High School (SBR Rengit) today for an in-depth exchange with the school representatives, sharing insights on trends in studying in China and the future direction of education development.

During the visit, the HIT team introduced the university’s strengths in academic programmes, research capabilities, and diverse learning resources to Yong Peng High School Principal Mr. Teo Chia Chin and Chong Hwa High School (SBR Rengit) Assistant Director of University Guidance Ms. Chew Law Hoon.

The team also welcomed graduates from both schools to pursue their higher education journey at HIT and explore opportunities in science, technology, and innovation.

Meanwhile, HIT has reached a preliminary consensus with the two schools on establishing student recruitment bases.
