Wander in the Wild was the highlight of the day for Reception. The pupils loved exploring around the lake, discovering a variety of plants and learning about the local ecosystem, including the enormous pitcher plants and the insects they had trapped.

Experiences like this help young learners see the environment in action, reflecting the mission of the International Education and Sustainability Leadership Summit, which encourages pupils and leaders to understand environmental issues and take practical steps towards sustainability.

"I always tell parents that boarding is amazingly special because not only do you get to enjoy the friendships you make while you are at school but hopefully, for the rest of your life. The bonds created in boarding can run deep. My best friends from school are now godparents to my children. There are many ways we can help promote these amazing relationships and eating together is one very important way. Wills enjoyed their traditional hot pot night on Tuesday and it was a wonderful occasion where we get to celebrate Asian culture while making memories that will last. "

At MCM, stories inspire curiosity, imagination and a lifelong love of learning.

From wonderful costumes to a shared love of books, it was fantastic to see pupils bringing their favourite characters to life and celebrating the joy of reading together.

A lovely reminder of the imagination and curiosity that books inspire.

The third Lectern Club of the year took place recently, hosted by the Master and Mrs Burbury. This cherished Sixth Form tradition continues to provide an intimate forum for high-level rhetoric, fine dining, and intellectual exchange.

The evening’s theme, 'Acta non verba' (Actions, not words), challenged our speakers to explore the weight of integrity, leadership, and the tangible impact of our choices. The speeches delivered were both profound and persuasive, sparking a spirited and sophisticated debate across the dinner table.

The quality of the presentations was exceptional, reflecting the growing confidence and oratorical skill of our Marlburians. We are delighted to congratulate the evening’s two winners: Ashlee, who delivered the winning Short Speech, and Koungyul, the winner of the Long Speech category.

Well done to all our speakers and their guests for another evening of inspiring and thought-provoking discussion; we look forward to the next Lectern Club in Summer Term.

Our Story

Marlborough College Malaysia is the first independent, British boarding and day school to open a campus in Malaysia. The Preparatory School takes pupils from age 3 and the Senior School includes a Sixth Form to age 18. Junior boarding begins from age 9 and senior boarding from age 13.

Pupils entering Marlborough College Malaysia join a community steeped in the tradition of placing compassion, companionship and conversation at the heart of its educational philosophy and a history, spanning over 170 years, of holistic education and academic excellence. The pupils of Marlborough College Malaysia will carry the torch for a new era of education. They will embody the spirit of internationalism and emerge as the beneficiaries of cross-cultural exchanges, an international perspective and preparation for life in a global environment.

Marlborough College was founded for the sons of the clergy of the Church of England in 1843, just after Queen Victoria came to the throne. At Marlborough College Malaysia. we do not aim to promote a purely Anglican point of view but rather we aim to set a moral compass for the children and we cherish and celebrate our multi-faith community.

Whilst maximising academic potential is an essential requirement of any school. the co-curricular aspect is a vital part of developing an all-round person. The spacious 90-acre campus with the outstanding facilities allows for excellent opportunities in sporting and outdoor pursuits. We also place high value in the contribution of music, art, drama and service to others in the holistic education that we deliver to the pupils in our care.
